Selena Gomez Admits She Has a Disorder During Instagram Show
Selena Gomez visited a mental hospital and admitted that she was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder during an Instagram show with Miley Cyrus, according to a recently published article.
It has been known to everyone that Selena Gomez has been very open about her health. She opened up about her stints in rehab to her experience in Lupus and kidney transplant.
It can be remembered that Selena Gomez took a break in her music career in 2018 due to the complication of her Lupus and that she needed a kidney transplant. Luckily, Selena's best friend donated a kidney.
Selena Gomez was traveling and having her Revival World Tour when she announced that she needed to take a break in her career and has to take care of her health. She also said that part of having a Lupus is to experience anxiety, panic attacks, and depression. But months later, she announced that she required a kidney transplant.
This time, Selena Gomez confessed to Miley Cyrus that she was recently diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder during their Instagram show. A video about Selena's confession circulated and became the hot topic immediately across different news outlets.
Selena said that she visited a mental hospital and told Cyrus: "One of the best mental hospitals in America, McLean Hospital, and I discussed that after years of going through a lot of different things, I realized that I was bipolar. And so when I got to know more information, it helps me. It doesn't scare me once I know it," Gomez also explained further her present situation and as well as the issues within her family.
Gomez explained: "I've seen some of it even in my own family, where I'm like, 'What's going on?' I'm from Texas. It's just not known to talk about mental health. You got to seem cool. And then I see anger built up in children and teenagers or whatever young adults because they want that so badly. I just feel like when I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it. And it took the fear away."
The video about their conversation went viral and became trending. It is essential to take note that Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus both decided to reconnect through Instagram and share their experiences during the stay-at-home or isolation period amid COVID-19.
In this time of isolation, it is crucial that you have to reconnect with someone. It could be a friend, a relative, or your special someone and share your experiences.
Miley Cyrus said: "A lot of it is connecting with people that maybe you haven't been the greatest to that you may not have thought about. I feel like there's been a lot of people I've gotten to do that with not necessarily saying it was bad, but just saying, 'Hey, I hope you're safe. I hope you're doing okay,' and that you know you're on my side. I'm only sending you love from this end.'"
It is still not yet known if Selena Gomez will undergo therapy and will have a break again in her music career.
