Latin American fashion is often illustrated as sexy, fashionable, and urban, as seen on Latino celebrities and read in contemporary magazines such as Latina and Urban Latino featuring longhaired models wearing body-revealing fashion clothing and emphasizing makeup wear.

However, it is difficult to accurately characterize Latino style because Latinos as a group are not homogenous. Nevertheless, it is safe to say that Latinos tend to have high fashion interest, are brand conscious and loyal, and devote a more significant percentage of household income to clothing purchases than other ethnic groups.

A recent article says that Latino celebrities we look up to not only in their craft but also in their fashion sense, have also embarked in business by creating their clothing line. Here are some of them:

1. Sofia by Sofia Vergara

Although Colombian actress Sofia Vergara's partnership with Kmart ended in 2015 due to the actress's goal to go global, it was good while it lasted. It featured a colorful yet casual and sexy collection, which includes leggings, dresses, and high heels. During the four-year partnership, the Modern Family actress kept an eye on anything related to her line-from fabrics to marketing. In 2018, Vergara also partnered with Kay Jewelers to launch a jewelry collection that includes statement necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets.

Eva Mendes has worked with New York & Company for several seasons to bring chic and feminine styled clothing lines. In an interview, the Hitch actress shared that she has drawn inspiration from her own Cuban family in coming up with the designs as well as inputs from her long-time partner Ryan Gosling.

"Ryan's mom, Ryan's sister, my mom, my sisters, my grandma are all my fashion guinea pigs," Mendes explains. "Nobody is going to be more honest than family, and our family is very honest. It's something I really appreciate because when designing something, you need real feedback."

 3. Jennifer Lopez for Kohl's

Jennifer Lopez is indeed a diva, but her collection, which ranges from bed linens to shoes and underwear, doesn't scream sky-high prices. It has attracted lots of fanatics thanks to a winning combination of quality and budget-friendly prices.

JLo's clothing collections include a sportswear line with Niyama Sol leggings and matching bralettes. She also has a range at Kohl's featuring flirty dresses, structured blazers, and of course, glam jewelry-all for a can't-miss price.
