Call of Duty: Warzone
Activision

The recent installation in the beloved Call of Duty series has arrived. The newest game, Call of Duty: Warzone, took over the world of battle royale by storm. The game stays true to the franchise's fast-paced gameplay and incorporates it with an open-ended sandbox environment.

Warzone features both solo and squad variants. Players who go on solo runs are in for challenging gameplay. Map knowledge is crucial to a player's survival on the battlefield. Here are the best tips to improve your survival rate in the Warzone.

Buy UAVs

The UAV is a popular tool in the COD franchise. The remote-controlled drone allows you to tag players from the sky, revealing enemy locations, and letting you position yourself where you have the upper hand.

The drone keeps you on top of enemy positions, helping you plan flanking routes to secure easy kills. The UAV is much stronger in solos since your money wouldn't be shared with a team.

Stay near a Buy Station in the final minutes. Purchasing a UAV and using it thrice gives you an Advanced UAV that not even Ghost users can hide from.

Use Medium to Long-Range Weapons

Medium to long-range weapons helps you hit rooftop campers easily. Close-quarters engagements still occur in solo mode, but they are far less common than meeting Snipers and vehicle users.

The Oden and HDR are the more common choices. If you're able to handle recoil well, you could mix it up with a FAL. This gun has a very rocky history in the franchise. While it can dish out as much power as rapid-firing sniper rifles, the recoil makes the gun very hard to use.

The Kar98K, a famous World War 2 rifle, puts most sniper rifles to shame. It is fully capable of killing an enemy with a shot to the upper torso without armor. If you're adept at landing headshots, this gun is incredibly hard to match.

Get Anti-Vehicle Equipment

Your bullets would be nothing against vehicle users. Even the most powerful guns are no match to a truck moving straight towards you.

The RPG-7 is a primary weapon that is too versatile to ignore. It packs a powerful punch in a moderate radius. It can be used to take down a large group of enemies. More than that, it's incredibly useful in blowing up vehicles---including jeeps and choppers.

Use the Ghost Perk

The Ghost is one of the most substantial perks on the battlefield. It's a tier-two perk that completely hides you from UAVs, Heartbeat Sensors, and Drones. Players do not often pick Ghost ---most opt for Overkill, which allows players to carry two primary weapons. While an Advanced UAV can still discover you, the direction you're facing will remain hidden.

If you're confident in your ability to secure advantageous positions, there isn't a better fit than Ghost.

Improve Map Knowledge

Learning the map will give you significant leverage over other players at Warzone. Knowing items spawn locations as well as camping positions, allows you to survive in the arena much easier. Certain sections of the map are copies from the previous Modern Warfare titles.

Many players choose to land near the Hospital or the Quarry as it has multiple item spawn locations. Squads of snipers camp on the roof of the Stadium. Take them down with a Precision Airstrike or a sniper rifle. For a more detailed map outline, check it out here.
