Are you among the many who have a rule that whoever is driving gets to choose the music?

In the past, most parents did not allow iPods and personal CD players during family time because everyone was required to be engaged. No single moment was described to be too unimportant for family time.

You're undoubtedly lucky if your parents played Fonseca and Juanes music. These are two artists appealing to both your parents' generation and today's.

Many from today's generation shared, they'd sing along and take advantage of their ride, to the tune of Juanes and Fonseca songs.

They added, they couldn't help but think of such memories when they discovered both musicians are collaborating via a live performance on YouTube on Mother's Day.

Reunion of Friends

Fonseca and Juanes are good friends who previously collaborated. Now, they are coming together to do what they love more than just music-their mothers.

Fonseca's mother, Dona Marcela, and Juanes's mom, Dona Alicia, have been great instruments in the two artists' respective musical careers.

Both moms showed their unconditional support and care to their sons. They are even considered as "the managers of their sons' hearts."

This is the reason the two are joining forces to bring so much love, hope, and strength no only to their moms, but all the mothers in Colombia and the whole world.

During the performance, the two artists will serenade the YouTube audience, especially mothers, to be broadcasted live on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10, from 2 p.m. PT or 5 p.m. ET from both Fonseca's and Juanes's YouTube accounts.

The virtual acoustic concert will highlight Juanes's band as well, with Emmanuel Briceno on the keyboard and Juan Pablo Daza on the guitar.

More so, this once-in-a-lifetime collaboration of two great artists also promises "to be a journey through the most memorable songs of the artists" that mothers in Colombia and the world have sung along with and come to love.

Virtual or "Quarantine Concerts" to Keep Live Music Alive

For a lot of music lovers, they will surely agree that spring becomes the most important season in the music industry. It is during this season when huge festivals like the Coachella and South by Southwest launch a busy concert season.

However, in the face of this COVID-19 pandemic, the summer music season and spring concerts are in peril as the so-called "self-quarantining" and social distancing" make live music performances and going to live shows are nothing but impossible.

Concert tours of artists have been postponed or canceled, not to mention the local and state prohibitions on huge public gatherings having shut down venues indefinitely.

In isolation like almost everyone in the world is currently experiencing, music becomes more essential than the typical. Musicians certainly know this, and so do their fans.

This is the reason a lot of artists in quarantine today are looking for ways to perform live through social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

Undeniably, this COVID-19 crisis has incited an explosion in Livestream DJ sets and mini-concerts, which artists host on their social media feeds.

For instance, John Legend and wife Chrissy Taigen were on Instagram on March 18, hanging out for one hour, with the former playing requested songs from fans.
