Halle Berry Child Support to Model Gabriel Aubry: $16,000 a Month Until Daughter Turns 19
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge has just ordered Halle Berry to pay child support to Gabriel Aubry, her model ex-husband. The child support payments ordered by the judge amounts to $16,000 a month, which is supposed to last until Nahla's 19th birthday.
Former partners Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have split joint custody of Nahla, their 6-year old daughter. The custody arrangement between the two has not always been good since they parted ways back in 2010. In 2012, Berry requested a re-location with Nahla and Olivier Martinez, her fiancé at the time, to France. However, this attempted move was ultimately hindered by Aubry.
The 47-year-old Halle Berry has a reported gross income of $4.7 million in nine months, month ending Sept. 30, 2012. Alternatively, the 38-year-old Aubry has a total gross income of $192,921 in 12 months (Oct. 31, 2012 as the month ending).
Aside from the $16,000 monthly child support payments, Berry was also ordered by the court to pay Aubry $115,000 in retroactive support and $300,000 to cover legal fees caused by their custody dispute. The retroactive support amount had been agreed upon by both Berry and Aubry.
Berry will be responsible for shouldering the total tuition fee for Nahla, who is currently studying in a private school. The actress will also pay 50 percent of Nahla's medical expenses that are not included on any family insurance plan. The couple lived together for five years from 2005-2010.
Halle, who was born Halle Mary Barry on Aug. 14, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio is mixed race; her father is of African-American descent while her mother is a European-American. Berry has a son named Maceo with current husband actor Olivier Martinez, who was born in October of 2013. Martinez married Berry in July 13, 2013. Other ex-spouses of Halle Berry's include Eric Benet (January 2004 - January 2005) and David Justice (January 1993 - June 1947), which both ended in divorce.
