Kris Jenner has finally addressed the big elephant that was in the room during Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's lavish wedding ceremony in Florence, Italy last month.

During an interview with Australia radio station KIIS 106.5 FM on Tuesday, the 58-year-old reality star opened up about the highly-publicized Kimye wedding on May 24 and the fact that Jay-Z and Beyoncé ditched the event to hang out in the Hamptons.

"There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought," explained Kim's mother, according to E! News.

"If you had been there, you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone's mind."

She added, "[I] just assumed they were working."

Despite spending Memorial Day weekend in the Hamptons with her husband and daughter Blue Ivy, Queen Bey acknowledged the ceremony on Instagram, sending the newlyweds her congratulations.

"Wishing you a lifetime of unconditional love. God bless your beautiful family," she wrote as a caption on a picture from the couple's Vogue spread in April.

In addition to the Carter family, a few other big names were missing in action from the ceremony, including Kardashian's half-brother Brody Jenner, her brother Rob Kardashian and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, reports Us Weekly.

Rob abruptly flew out of Paris, France the morning of the wedding and rumored that he went to a fat camp to lose weight just weeks before the nuptials.

"Rob is working on himself," Jenner said during an interview on NBC's "TODAY" last week. "He's going to be okay. A lot of prayer and, you know, he's such a great human being ... he's my heart."

During her interview on Today, the "momager" and proud mother of six described her daughter's extravagant wedding as "beautiful and magical ... it was just a love fest." Jenner also added that "It was the most wonderful time I think I've ever had and it's hard to explain that to somebody in words."
