Hollywood stars joined people across the country to protest and demanded justice after the death of George Floyd, according to a recently published article.

Unrest Across the Country Continues

The unrest in the country continues following the death of George Floyd. Some described it as a dorm of racism while others described it as a homicide. Even though the police officers involved in Floyd's death were already charged, many are still on the streets protesting. 

The protests that somehow led to riots and violence even happened just blocks away from the White House. Meanwhile, U.S. First Lady Melania Trump urges everyone to have a peaceful protest and to avoid being violent in this time of the global pandemic.

There were protests the were violently staged that led to different looting and arrests. While there are also some who did a peaceful protest by doing a march on the street and bringing with them a placard that says "Black Lives Matter."

Hollywood Stars Joined the Protests 

Until today, many are still on the streets across the different states and are demanding justice. This has captured also the attention of Hollywood stars who spent their weekend protesting along with other people. 

Ariana Grande joined the protesters in Los Angeles where she wore a mask that has a sign "Black Lives Matter" on Saturday afternoon. She also documented her participation in her Instagram account. 

Another Hollywood star who joined a street protest in Los Angeles over the weekend was Halsey, however, her experience was not the same as with Grande. According to Halsey, police officers were fighting back against the protesters by firing rubber bullets and throwing gasses. However, she said that instead of retaliating, they remained not moving and maintained their hands up.

Model Emily Ratajkowski also joined the protest in Los Angeles on Saturday. She said that police were militarized while civilians had no weapons. She also added that the protest was not violent but not until actual armies were deployed.

Actor Kendrick Sampson was also present during the protest in Los Angeles. He was able to document the protest including the scene through Instagram Live where he was hit by a police officer using rubber bullets and a baton.

The NBA legend Michael Jordan and Kehlani also protested. On the Instagram post of Kehlani, he wrote "No justice, no peace. Respect existence or expect resistance," But it was not clear if the protest participated by Jordan ended peacefully or not.

In Chicago, John Cusack shared a video of him protesting on his bicycle when police came to him with a baton while the Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui recounted how peaceful the protest was in Miami not until police officers arrived in full gear and tear gas. 

The death of George Floyd and on how he was arrested which was captured by a video that went viral online caught not only the attention of few individuals in America but of millions of people. It was for them one of the arrests that will mark history in a country where racism still continues until today.
