The United States is now experiencing its most significant recession due to the global pandemic. Millions have filed for their unemployment claims hoping that they will receive stimulus that will aid their financial needs every day.

According to a published article in The Guardian, the number of unemployment claims as of June 6 has already reached 20.5 million. This means that the unemployment rate in the country is already 14.1 percent.

However, instead of acting today for the new coronavirus aid that will help millions of people in the country, the Republican senators said that their plan for the new relief aid is still next month.

There are speculations that the new coronavirus aid is planned to be given next month to make it timely for the upcoming 2020 U.S. Presidential elections, according to a report published in The Hill.

When Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was questioned about the timing of the new coronavirus aid, he declined to answer.

Republicans Still Hope for the Party's Success in the Upcoming Election

The chance of Pres. To have the Presidential sit again, Donald Trump is getting thinner following the low turn out of participants on his latest rally in Tulsa.

However, there are many factors seen. One of these is the effect of COVID-19, where many might want to avoid overcrowded places like a rally to prevent getting infected by the infectious and deadly virus.

The plan to have the new relief aid next month could change voters' minds and increase the chance of Pres. Trump and the majority of the Republican Party to win in the upcoming election.

Sen. John Cornyn, who is running for re-election in Texas, said that the country is experiencing its tough times, but as long as people see hope because of the government's action, he believed that there is still a big chance for the party.

He also added that the country's recovery progresses through its states' reopening, and everything is running good in the country today.

Sen. John Thune also said that most of the citizens in the country have more members from the Republican Party who can make the country great again. He also stressed out that people believed that Republicans are doing more policies.

A TV Ad Comparing Trump and Biden

Two names are now on the top choices of the citizens in the country. These are the incumbent President Donald Trump and former Vice-President Joe Biden.

While Biden made headlines in the past few weeks due to his racist rhetoric when he said that "You ain't Black if you support Trump," this was taken advantage of by Trump's supporters by making videos of it, and it went viral online.

Meanwhile, a recent television ad went up on Friday that described Biden as someone who would crush the economy. In contrast, Donald Trump as someone who led the country to the most robust economy in history, and he will do it again.

In an exclusive interview with Pres. Donald Trump from Fox News, he said: "We have done a great job. If you look back a few months to an economy that was the greatest of all time. ...And now you look at what we're doing; I'm doing it all over again."

He also added the country's economy would be incredible next year and the third quarter will bring some good news in the country.

As the election is more than four months from now, there are still many possibilities that might happen and will increase the chance of the Presidential candidates to win.
