Blue Ivy Carter Pictures 2014: Change.org Petition Demands that Jay Z and Beyonce Comb Daughter's Hair
The latest photo of Blue Ivy Carter has a lot of people talking, but not in a good way.
On Sunday, June 8, the Carter family was spotted landing at a heliport in New York. Beyonce, Jay Z and their 2 ½-year-old daughter Blue were all dressed down in casual and comfortable clothing, reports Daily Mail. However, critics pointed out that Blue's hair looked tangled and unkempt. One woman, named Jasmin Toliver of Brooklyn, New York, even went as far as to create a Change.org petition demanding that Jay and Queen Bey comb their child's hair.
In the petition, entitled "Comb Her Hair," Toliver states:
"As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It's disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A. Jay Z and Beyoncé have failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy's hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let's get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair."
So far, the petition has garnered 1,888 signatures and just needs 612 more supporters.
Reality stars KeKe Wyatt and Tamar Braxton have also weighed in over the controversy of Blue Ivy's hair. During a recent interview on Ryan Cameron's morning radio show, the TV moms agreed that Blue's hair could benefit from some TLC in the form of conditioning and styling.
"Ain't nothing wrong with being natural. I got natural, but you still got to grease natural and comb natural and wash and condition and then you won't have the beadiage," said Wyatt, a star on the reality series "RnB Divas" who admitted that she combs her children's hair against their will, reports S2Smagazine.com.
Likewise, RnB singer Tamar Braxton recommended that the stars use hair products to enhance Blue's natural 'do.
"It just needs some product. That's it. No shade," said Tamar. "I have a nephew who has really, really curly hair like this. It ain't that bad."
