Millions of Americans who were furloughed and laid off from their jobs are still hoping for the second round of stimulus checks. However, it seems that the priority of the Democratic-dominated Congress is the U.S.P.S funding.

But it does not mean that you will not get anything this week. You can still get up to $900 through the Internal Revenue System and Federal Emergency Management Agency. This is after Pres. Trump signed the CARES Act and issued an executive order on the expanded unemployment claim on Aug.8.

It is a fact that months after the CARES Act was approved, many are still waiting for their stimulus payment. That includes an extra $500 for dependents who qualified for the program. Moreover, many also did not receive yet their extra $500 aside from the $1,200 direct payments for individuals and $2,400 for a couple.

According to a published article in CNET, eligible Americans can still apply for the catch-up payment until Sept.30 using the IRS' Non-filer tool. This will allow individuals to get $500 that many might miss receiving during the first round under the CARES Act.

The IRS is asking the eligible and qualified individuals to visit the Free File Fillable Forms site and select "Get Started" to create an account to apply for the missing $500. A confirmation will be sent to your email once all information is entered.

Moreover, the IRS assured that they will then work to determine the eligibility and send payment. Additionally, the fastest way to receive the payment is by setting up direct deposits. Meanwhile, you can also ask for a check.

Aside from the $500 stimulus check under the CARES Act that you might miss, you can also receive between $300 to $400 enhanced unemployment claim. This is after Pres. Trump signed and issued the executive order last Aug.8 mandating FEMA to use its unspent fund for the unemployment claims.

Many states today are already sending out unemployment claims. The first four states who were approved were Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana, and New Mexico. Recently, FEMA Announced that more states were already approved and are still deciding when to distribute the unemployment claim.

The fixed amount that you will receive from the federal unemployment claims $300. It is just up to the state where you belong if they will counterpart or add $100. Hence, anyone who is living in a state that doles out $100 will receive $400.

This simply means that you can potentially get up to $900 if you did yet receive your $500 under that CARES Act and $400 from the unemployment claim. However, residents in Oregon are luckier because aside from potential $900 they will also receive a one-time $500.
