While Marvel Studios already has plans for its movies up until 2028, DC Entertainment is still trying to pull things together in order to debut its much-awaited team-up of DC superheroes known as the Justice League. So far, they only have "Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice," which is set to be released on the big screen in May of 2016 (a date which was already pushed back from the original planned showing of summer 2015), though rumor has it that Warner Bros. Pictures plans to reveal more details of their DC Comics movies at Comic-Con.

Thanks to entertainment reporter Nikki Finke, plans for the DC heroes were leaked online. Here's the superhero films we can epxect to see from DC over the next four years:

May 2016 - "Batman vs. Superman"
July 2016 - "Shazam"
Xmas 2016 - "Sandman"
May 2017 - "Justice League"
July 2017 - "Wonder Woman"
Xmas 2017 - Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 - "Man Of Steel 2"

Although no solid plans are set for the team-up, many have been speculating about what the "Justice League" film will be like. First of all, the film is planned to be released in May 2017 -- with a couple of solo superhero movies to be released within the same year. Speculation suggests that the movie will most likely be an epic blockbuster resembling Marvel's "The Avengers."

Stars who currently portray the superheroes would most likely return to the team-up film, except for Ryan Reynolds who has been confirmed as not reprising his role as the Green Lantern. Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck will play Superman and Batman, respectively. Dwayne Johnson is rumored to be cast in the role of a villain, either as Martian Manhunter or Darkseid. Wonder Woman might appear in the "Justice League" even before her solo film is released. Gal Gadot will reportedly play the role of the female superhero.

Many speculate other DC characters will also appear or at least have cameos in the planned "Justice League" film. However, Warner Bros. hasn't exactly ironed out its ideas on what would work best, especially now that many planned DC films have already been previously scrapped.
