Batteries are something that every individual is using from years, unaware of its existence. Have you noticed by what power does your child's electronic car works? Or have you ever given a look over the battery of your smartphone? Starting from your child's toy car battery, to your big fat car battery, lithium batteries can be in any size from small to large.

History of the lithium battery

In the 1970s, a person, namely M.S. Whittingham of the Binghamton University, came up with an idea of charging the battery he was using with some titanium sulfide and lithium. The results were good, and the battery power was lasting for quite a considerable amount. Later, he tried making battery with lithium only, which gave some good results but was not according to the safety protocols and hence was not released in the market.

Various observations were under process to create such a rechargeable battery until Sony company launched its first lithium batteries that were also capable of recharging. The battery was a hit in the world market, and many people used it in different products which consume a lot of battery and requires a rechargeable solution.

Lithium battery and the new world

The new world is greatly dependent upon power supplies that are rechargeable and can be reused. Lithium batteries had changed the way in which the world use to live before these batteries were available in the market. Today these batteries are highly in demand and are used in many things that stay in front of our eyes and are a core element of our day-to-day lives. some of the uses of this battery are:-

  • Power backups: many developing countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal suffer multiple power cuts. This is a considerable problem for the people living in these countries, and regular power cuts can hamper their working. They need a good solution for their problem, which is lithium batteries as their power backup. They can install new technology lithium batteries with their invertors and can get a full proof power backup in their hand.
  • Electrically dependable vehicles: cars are necessary for many, and the new technology has led to a power start option. But do you know that your car's power start feature requires a battery in your car to make it happen? Yes, many car functions greatly depend upon the battery installed in it like horns, indicators, power start, and more. To keep your car functioning tip-top, you require a long-lasting and rechargeable battery, which you get from a lithium battery.
  • Solar batteries: solar is increasing its approach all over the world at a faster scale. Imagine you are getting electricity for free would you like to pay for it? Absolutely no, you will definitely not like to pay for anything that you can get for free. One of that is using solar energy, one can install solar plates at the roof of their house, and it will convert the solar energy into electrical energy for you. But they also require someplace to store energy; lithium batteries like these are the long-lasting and the smart way to store that electrical energy for your use.
  • Mobiles and laptops: how can you forget the main thing that you use daily? Yes, we are talking about your smartphone and laptop. Have you ever read a description of a mobile or laptop before purchasing it? They always mention the type of battery they use in it and in most of the case they use lithium batteries only, due to its durability and good power backup.

It is clearly great to see the world getting smarter with a perfect choice of using lithium batteries in its day to day use.
