U.S. President Donald Trump gives a thumb up during a live one-hour NBC News town hall forum with a group of Florida voters in Miami, Florida, U.S.

Steve Cortes, Trump's former member of the Hispanic Advisory Council in 2016, will now serve again as the Senior Advisor of Strategy for the campaign in 2020. His main goal is to garner Latino votes across the country to support Pres. Trump in the upcoming November election.

Some political experts say that if Pres. Trump will get the support of Latinos in Florida, it is already a sure win for him. According to a published report in News Channel 8, there are around 3.1 million Latino voters which are comprised of 20 percent of the total voters in the state.

Cortes knew that Pres. Trump has been seriously courting Latinos in the country. However, he also admitted that there are lots of things to be done. He said that in the early days of the campaign, the Trump campaign committee wanted to woo Latino and Hispanic voters.

Latino and Hispanic voters are the largest minority groups in the country. There are over 60 million eligible voters across the country, according to the Pew Research Center. The minority group is even dubbed as the "sleeping giant" in the country and will awaken this upcoming election.

Cortes also asserted that Trump is more serious in courting Latinos than in 2016. This year, Trump has held around the table with Latino leaders. He also attended the convention of 'Latinos for Trump' events in Arizona and Florida which are considered as the main battleground.

Cortes also explained that Pres. Trump will strongly support from the largest minority group in the country because of his programs. That includes the President's stance on capitalism and focuses on creating a strong economy to help court Latinos in the country.

He said that people in the country who came either from Venezuela or Cuba are more likely to support Pres. Trump because he was able to address persisting economic issues. Cortes firmly believes that it is their hope for a better economy that led Hispanics and Latinos to support Pres. Trump.

Meanwhile, many Hispanics and Latinos in the country are laying essential roles most especially in this time of the global pandemic.

They have been working night and day as frontliners. Additionally, many of them also work in the fields making sure that there is enough food by planting and harvesting produce.

When Cortes was asked if Pres. Trump is aware of how vulnerable Latinos on the frontliners are and if he can assure them to have adequate access to COVID-19 testing and healthcare, he said that the actual crisis management of Pres. Trump is exemplary.

Cortes said "He was able to marshal all the resources of a public government to manufacture in gigantic quantities, PPE, testing capabilities (and) therapeutics, as well overflow of hospital capacity."
