Charisse Stinson reported in 2018 that her 2-year-old son Belliveau went missing. During her interview with the authorities, Stinson blamed a man with gold teeth and dreadlocks, according to the Largo Police Department press release.

She also added in her report that she accepted a ride from this man who hit her so hard and that she lost her consciousness.

During the night of the incident, Stinson claimed that she woke up in the middle of the night in a park without her son Belliveau. However, all of her stories about the abduction of her son were all fabricated to cover up the crime that she committed a few years ago.

Police uncovers horrible crime

Investigation revealed that Stinson was behind the disappearance of her own son. The Florida woman allegedly hit her own son in the face using the back part of her hand.

According to an affidavit obtained by the Tampa Bay, she did it due to her frustration and the strike caused her son to hit the interior wall of their home.

Due to the serious injury that her son got after the blow, Belliveau suffered a seizure during and unfortunately, the child died on the same night. However, Stinson fabricated a story instead of telling the truth to the police.

She was supposed to seek medical attention for her son but never did it. She hid the body of her son in a wooded area.

Autopsy showed that the 2-year-old boy died of blunt force trauma. After two years, Stinson admitted the crime and pleaded guilty on Tuesday.

According to a published report in the Tampa Bay Times, she shared that for a while she felt so angry and bitter before she came into the jail. Before going to jail, she claimed that she was anxious over the crime that she had done.

"And now I'm free, mentally. I may not be free physically. But I want my mom to know that I am free mentally. I am not in bondage anymore, and that is the gift that God has given me," says Stinson.

Background check revealed that Charisse Stinson and her son Belliveau both grew up up in the child welfare system. Three months before his death, the child was with his foster parents before Stinson reclaimed him.

Stinson apologized to the father of her son and his family during the hearing on Tuesday. Even though Jordan Belliveau Sr., the child's father, was not around during the hearing, he has made it clear that he was not satisfied with the punishment.

For him, it is too light and he said, "I'm not nobody's creator. I can't say when somebody dies. But that's what I would've liked."

Charisse Stinson will be facing first-degree murder for the death of her son. Additionally, she also pleaded guilty to filing false reports. Stinson will be sentenced to 50 years in exchange for her plea deal.
