The E! People's Choice Awards 2020 started its voting for the nominees until October 23. All the categories are jam packed with fierce talent, including music.

In the 2020 PCAs Latin Artist category, the competition is stiff, and all of the artists have proved their worth this year, according to E! Online. The eight stars nominated this year are Ozuna, Becky G, Maluma, Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin, Nicky Jam, and Karol G.

Some of the best in reggaeton and Latin trap are the artists up for the awards worldwide. The list is full of immense talents that have let their music be shared with people worldwide.

Bad Bunny

Back to Soundcloud, Bad Bunny rose to the top where the Puerto Rican artist first uploaded his rhymes four years ago. After the trap artist collaborated with J Balvin and Cardi B on I Like It," he had his big break into the public consciousness. Their collaboration went to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Bad Bunny released YHLQMDLG this year, up for Album of 2020.

Becky G

Dr.Luke discovered Becky G from uploading covers online, and her song "Shower" in 2015 was placed on the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart that made her first mainstream success. Becky G's collaboration with Bad Bunny with the song "Mayores" led to other Latin artists' collaborations, including Daddy Yankee and De La Ghetto. She also collaborated with BTS's J-Hope in September on the song "Chicken Noodle Soup" with a hit of more than 200 million Youtube views.

Ozuna

In 2012, "Imaginado" by Ozuna was released as his debut single. He had a breakthrough hit with the song "Si Tu Marido No Te Quiere." Ozuna has a highly successful career and sold over 15-million records that made him one of the best-selling Latin artists of all time. Besides, this year, he topped the US Latin airplay chart for his "Caramelo" and "Mamacita" singles with Black Eyed Peas.

Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee became a reggaeton icon at the age of 43 and changed the game in Latin music. He didn't slow down over his long career. The reggaeton artist had collaborated with other Latin artists who are also nominated for the PCAs Latin Artist Awards, such as J Balvin. Currently, he has a reunion album in process with his old group Los Canaris.

Karol G

Karol G, a Colombian artist, started her fame in 2017 after collaborating with Bad Bunny with the song: Ahora Me Llama," which became a hit. Karol G released her second studio album last year and collaborated with Anuel AA on "Secreto." The two are together in real life, adding the song with a steamy duet that became more exciting. Her hit song "Ay Dios Mio" became a way for Karol G to earn her eighth no.1 on the Latin Airplay chart.

J Balvin

For a decade, J Balvin, a Colombian artist, has been actively performing music with much success. Balvin was a featured vocalist on Robin Thicke's released version of "Blurred Lines." Until now, J Balvin steadily released hits in the years since then. He also performed across the US, Latin America, and Canada. In March, J Balvin's album "Colores," his fifth studio album, was released.

Maluma

Maluma is a Colombian reggaeton artist who had his breakthrough in 2015 with the album "Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy" that topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums list. Maluma had his fifth studio album called "Papi Juancho" in August as a surprise for fans.

Nicky Jam

One of the Kings of reggaeton and Latin trap is Nicky Jam. He often collaborates with other Latin artists such as J Balvin, Ozuna, Daddy Yankee, and Anuel AA. Nicky Jam released his album "Intimo" in November 2019, the same year that Apple Music made a documentary about making the album called "Behind Nicky Jam's Intimo."
