According to a report, Wisconsin poll workers may have unlawfully altered thousands of mail-in ballots because of the unlawful guidance from the state's election commission.

An absentee ballot needs to be signed by a witness who ists his address, as per the Wisconsin law. The ballot should not contain a witness address and must not be returned to the voter for the witness to provide the information.

However, sources claim that "clerks and b]vote counters" in Wisconsin write in the witness signatures themselves, "Dan O'Donnell Show" report says. The report also claims that the election workers chose to write the addresses as they were illegally advised to do so by the Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC).

Breitbart reported that the ballots are invalid if the poll workers write in the addresses, wherein Wisconsin's election workers did. Michael Gableman, a retired Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice, said that the statute is very clear. It is if the absentee ballot doesn't have a witness address on it, it's invalid. "That ballot is not valid," Gableman reiterated.

O'Donnell said that the WEC sent uniform instructions to voters with the mail-in ballots informing them that the witness must sign and provide their full address in the Certification of Witness section. WEC also warned that the poll would not be counted if there is any missing required information.

But in October, additional guidance was sent to clerks instructing them to fill-in the witness address portion of the ballot themselves to avoid it from being invalidated, as per O'Donnell.

"Please note that the clerk should try to resolve any missing witness address information prior to Election Day if possible. This can also be done through reliable details (voter registration information, personal knowledge, through a phone call with the witness or voter). The witness does not need to appear to give a missing address," the WEC wrote.

The statute turned on its head by the directive, judge Gableman said.

Gateway Pundit, a conservative website, reported an unverified claim of voter fraud in Wisconsin following a chart from FiveThirtyEight showed an increase in Democratic votes Wednesday morning.

According to Newsweek, President Donald Trump amplified the narrative with a tweet saying, "Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat-run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted magically. VERY STRANGE, and the 'pollsters' got it wholly & historically wrong!"

The climb in Democratic votes is not fraud, but election officials have since said a time they finished counting legitimate votes.
