Leaders of a Catholic pro-life organization, American Life League, slammed the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops after they congratulated Democratic candidate Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris for reportedly winning this year's election.

Archbishop José H. Gomez, president of the USCCB, released a statement amid the U.S. election.

Gomez said that they recognized that Biden has garnered enough votes to be elected as the 46th President of the United States.

Gomez's statement further said that they acknowledge Biden as the second Catholic president of the country, next to former U.S. President John F. Kennedy.

"We also congratulate Sen. Kamala D. Harris of California, who becomes the first woman ever elected as vice president," the statement was quoted in The Daily Wire report.

President and co-founder of ALL, Judie Brown, responded to the statement that Gomez released.

Brown said that the USCCB has confirmed what many of have suspected for many years, adding that most Catholic Bishops have no problem with a Catholic politician "spitting at the face of Christ."

The ALL president said that Biden is such a man, adding that he claims to be Catholic, yet supporting abortion a 100 percent, in every way of brutality against the innocent.

Brown added that the Catholic bishops have erred and as a Catholic, she is ashamed of them.

Another ALL official released a statement on USCCB's move.

Hugh Brown, executive vice president of ALL, said that the reality of USCCB issuing a statement congratulating Biden should not be a surprise to anyone.

The vice president added that the USCCB are not the descendant of the Apostles.

Hugh said that the USCCB is what St. John Paul II referred to when he wrote about the Anti-Church.

He added that the public should not listen to the USCCB, and instead should put their faith in Christ.

ALL executive director, Jim Sedlack, also criticized the Bishops organization, saying that the USCCB's statement is the confirmation that they are now a political body issuing a politically correct statement.

Biden has been attacked by some Catholic organizations for his abortion views.

This includes Bishop Rock Stika of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Stika urged Biden in October to rethink the Democrat's position on abortion as God is going to judge him.

Meanwhile, despite criticisms of his abortion views, Pope Francis congratulated Biden last week.

Biden responded by committing to work with the Pope on progressive issues such as climate change, poverty, and immigration.

Responding to his abortion views, Biden said he accepts the church's teaching about abortion.

However, he does not want to impose that belief on everyone, as reported by the Associated Press News report.

During this year's presidential election, 50 percent of Catholic voters handed out their support to Trump.

Meanwhile, Biden received 49 percent of the Catholic support, according to VoteCast, which is a survey done on more than 110,000 voters nationwide.

The survey was done for the AP News by NORC at the University of Chicago.
