President Donald Trump said on Monday that he still keeping up his re-election fight after the General Services Administration (GSA) made transition resources available to Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

GSA Administrator Emily Murphy, who was appointed by Trump, sent a letter to Biden on Monday stating he can be given access to services in facilitating a transition. The letter has been obtained by The Epoch Times.

In two tweets, Trump also said he asked Murphy to begin the transition but did not concede his loss to Biden. Instead, he said he would keep fighting.

Trump said that Murphy has been "harassed, threatened, and abused" before the transition, so he asked her to do what needs to be done following initial protocols. Trump has also told his team to do the same, said a report from The Hill.

The move was a shift for the Trump campaign, which insisted the election was being "stolen" from them through fraud.

As for his legal challenges, Trump insisted in a follow-up tweet that their various cases don't have anything to do with the GSA conducting preliminary transition work, reported FOX News.

"What does GSA being allowed to preliminary work with Dems have to do with continuing to pursue our various cases on what will go down as the most corrupt election in American political history?" he wrote.

Transition is not Official Result

Starting off with transition does not explicitly mean the presidency has been decided, as Murphy clarified in her letter.

She pointed out that the GSA is not in change of legal disputes and recounts. It is also hands-off on determining whether such proceedings are reasonable or justified.

"The actual winner of the presidential election will be determined by the electoral process detailed in the Constitution," she said.

With the current situation surrounding election results and allegations of fraud, Murphy noted that these things were not addressed in the transition act.

She suggested the Congress should amend the Act to address these matters.

What Happens During Transition?

As part of the transition process, Biden's team will be provided with transition resources amounting to $6.3 million to carry out the provisions of the Presidential Transition Act.

They will also be provided $1 million to orient appointees and have a transition directory made available for them, reported The Epoch Times.

TO be given these appropriations, Biden's team has to meet the reporting requirements that are outlined in the transition act.

Earlier on Monday, Democrats questioned Murphy on why the transition process has not already stated given that different media projections showed Biden won, said a report from Daily Wire.

Murphy Insists Decision was Independent

Amid the amount of threats she faced, Murphy said she made the decision to kick-start a transition on her own.

She said there were threats from various corners: online, by home and mail. The mail wasn't just directed toward her but also her family, staff and even her pets.

For her dedication and loyalty to the country, Trump offered praise towards Murphy.
