Another Monolith Mysteriously Appears in Romania
Another monolith mysteriously appeared in Romania just days after a monolith mysteriously disappeared in a desert in Utah.
The appearance and disappearance of the first monolith, which was found last month in the Utah desert remained a great mystery. There were theories about how the monolith was installed.
Many suspected that it was either a work of art or placed by an alien. However until now, there is no definite answer on how the monolith suddenly appeared there.

Just days after the monolith disappeared in the Utah desert, another one mysteriously appeared in a private area in Romania.
According to a Daily Mail report, the monolith, which the news outlet described as a shiny triangular metallic pillar, is located only a few yards away from an ancient landmark called the Petrodava Dacian Fortress in Piatra Neamt City.
The report added that the monolith measures 13 feet tall, and it's one side faces Mount Ceahlau, which is one of the seven natural wonders of Romania. Mount Ceahlau is locally known as the Holy Mountain. The appearance of the monolith in Romania baffled officials.
It can be remembered that the monolith in the Utah desert was found by the Utah Department of Public Safety's Aero Bureau officers on Nov. 18. They accidentally saw the object when they flew by helicopter and were surprised by what they found out.
They estimated that the monolith in the Utah desert was between 10 to 12 feet tall. It was almost the same size as with the monolith that mysteriously appeared in Romania.
Neamt Culture and Heritage official Rocsana Josanu said they have started looking into the strange appearance of the monolith.
In a The New York Post report, Josanu explained that it is on private property, and they still don't know who is the owner of the monolith.
"It is in a protected area on an archaeological site. Before installing something there, they needed permission from our institution, one that must then be approved by the Ministry of Culture," she noted.
The discovery of another monolith drew more questions. Both officials in Utah and Romania are all puzzled about how the monolith appeared.
Utah officials decided not to disclose the location of the monolith because they are afraid that hikers will look for it and will ask for a rescue when they are trapped.
However, it did not stop some of the hikers because the location's coordinates went viral on the social media platform Reddit. Some were able to get into the monolith area, but last Friday, the object mysteriously disappeared.
Utah's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) said that they did not remove the monolith. They suspected that another group or a third party had removed it sometime on Friday.
"We have received credible reports that the illegally installed structure, referred to as the 'monolith' has been removed from the Bureau of Land Management public lands by an unknown party," said BLM spokesperson Kimberly Finch.
