The federal authorities arrested two rioters who broke into the Capitol and carried cuffs onto the Senate floor during Wednesday's violent takeover at the U.S. Capitol.

Feds Arrested Two Rioters During Capitol Siege

More than a hundred Trump supporters went into the Capitol on Wednesday in an attempt to stop the certification of the results of the recent Presidential election. A few of the rioters were able to broke into the Capitol that forced lawmakers to flee the place.

According to Criminal Online, the federal authorities have already arrested two persons who carried cuffs onto the Senate floor. The authorities identified them as Larry Rendell Brock and Eric Gavelek Munchel.

They are charged with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without authority and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Their arrest is the result of the FBI's efforts to post their pictures n different social media accounts.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, both of them were taken into custody on Sunday after their arrest. Brock in Texas while Munchel in Tennessee.

Rioters Identified Using the Captured Photos

Authorities said that Brock was photographed in a green helmet, green tactical vest with patches, black and camouflage jacket, and beige pants with flex cuffs attached when he broke onto the Senate floor. This made them easy to identify the rioter.

Meanwhile, Munchel was photographed carrying plastic restraints, a holster with something in it on his right hip, and a cell phone mounted on his chest with the camera facing outward. Both of them were seen carrying plastic cuffs inside the Senate floor.

Additionally, the photos of Munchel and Brock were among the several captured pictures that the FBI used to identify and arrest the rioters.

According to a report in NBCDFW, 53-year-old Larry Rendell Brock was fired from his job after he confirmed to the New Yorker that the photographs did show him on the floor of the Senate chambers.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation also confirmed that Larry Rendell Brock surrendered and turned himself into Grapevine police.

Social Media Led to the Arrest of a Rioter

According to News Channel 5, social media has led to the arrest of Munchel who described himself as a "hidden patriot" from Nashville. He was photographed inside the Senate floor leaping over a railing with several flex cuffs in his hand.

His identification led to videos he live-streamed through Facebook on Wednesday during his march to the Capitol. In the video Livestream, he discussed how they might get inside the Capitol. However, Munchel disabled his personal Facebook page.

Munchel said, "It's just a taser, but the police came and took it away from me. They didn't like it because of tonight. They said I couldn't open carry a Taser."

He said this after another video showed Munchel in the lobby of a hotel after the riot.
