Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are just two of the world's billionaires. While other billionaires are no longer part of the list because of the global pandemic that heavily impacted their businesses, Musk and Zuckerberg added their wealth amid the pandemic primarily because of the line of their business.

Elon Musk is the richest person in the world and is the only one that claims the biggest net worth, according to Bloomberg. His net worth now stands at $209 billion. Elon Musk got an additional $34 billion since the election began.

Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg is the 5th richest person in the world, according to Livemint. The Facebook CEO has a total net worth of $101 billion. Mark Zuckerberg has also acquired the social media platform Instagram and messenger Whatsapp in 2014.

Feud Between the Two Billionaires

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg started their feud in 2016 when a SpaceX rocket, owned by Elon Musk, exploded and destroyed the satellite of Facebook, according to a report in Business Insider. Since then, the two butted heads over everything.

Here are some informations how their feud began:

1. Musk-Zuckerberg Feud Began in 2017 after SpaceX Explosion

SpaceX was testing its Falcon 9 rocket at a launch site in Cape Canaveral, Florida in September 2016. Shortly after 9:00 a.m., the rocket exploded that carry Facebook's AMOS-6 satellite and was eventually destroyed when the rocket failed to make it into space.

Facebook's satellite was very important because it was part of the company's Internet.org project that aims to deliver internet connectivity to the developing world and would have been Facebook's first satellite in orbit.

At that time Zuckerberg posted on his account and said that he was "deeply disappointed to hear that SpaceX's launch failure destroyed our satellite that would have provided connectivity to so many entrepreneurs and everyone else across the continent."

On the other hand, Elon Musk addressed the failed launch after two years and said, "Yeah, my fault for being an idiot. We did give them a free launch to make up for it, and I think they had some insurance."

2. Zuckerberg Criticized Musk's Feelings About Artificial Intelligence

A viewer asked Zuckerberg about his thoughts on Musk's anxieties around Artificial Intelligence during a Facebook Live in 2017.

Zuckerberg said that he understood it but for him, it is negative in some ways to think about doomsday. Zuckerberg even said that it is very irresponsible. Musk also replied and said that he talked to Zuckerberg about it and learned that Mark's understanding about it is limited.

3. Elon Musk Deleted SpaceX and Tesla's Facebook Pages

WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton tweeted, "It is time. #deletefacebook," and Elon Musk responded, "What's Facebook?" Musk also added after a fan responded to his tweet that he did not realize he had accounts or pages on Facebook.

Following this, both the Facebook pages of Tesla and SpaceX disappeared. Musk said that it was not a political statement and that he just found Facebook unsettling.
