Former President Donald Trump established his own "Office of the Former President" headquarters in Palm Beach, Florida, holding true to his promise that he would return in some capacity after the end of his term.

The Office of the Former President would be the headquarters for all of Trump's post-presidential public affairs, said a report from The Independent.

A news release from the office said it would manage Trump's correspondence, appearances, and other "official activities to advance the interests of the United States."

The Office of the Former President will also "carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism," added the release.

This is like just one of the many post-presidency offices set up by former chief executives like George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton. However, none of them used the title "former president" in naming their offices.

Other post-presidency offices simply used past presidents' names since the phrase is not exclusive to them. In the same way, it won't be a phrase exclusive to Donald Trump.

"President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People," the statement concluded.

Office of the Former President Raises Questions of Possible 2024 Run

A Breitbart report said the announcement caused some speculation that Donald Trump plans to aim for the presidency again in 2024. However, Trump remained relatively silent about the matter since the end of his term last week.

The news site added that Trump's silence on the matter was possibly due to his permanent ban on his chosen social media platform, Twitter.

The ban, made effective earlier this month, led many to wonder how Donald Trump will continue to communicate with his strong pool of supporters. He was also mostly silent about the inauguration of his successor, President Joe Biden, on January 20.

Office of the Former President Has No Official Website Yet

It's unclear whether the office will be operating from Trump's Mar-a-Lago private club or elsewhere in Palm Beach County.

So far, the office doesn't appear to have an official website, phone number, or Twitter profile yet, Sun Sentinel added. The release was sent from a no-reply email address.

It will be run by his former administration aides and other staff that served him during his time at the White House.

Trump is also expected to spend most of his post-presidency days in Florida, where his aides will surround him, a report from The Hill said.

His allies also said Trump might be eyeing supporting primary challenges against GOP members who he feels wronged him after the election battle, such as Rep. Liz Cheney and Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp.

Donald Trump left the White House hours before Biden's inauguration ceremony and was seen golfing in his golf club.

The release about the Office of the Former President came hours before the House of Representatives delivered an impeachment article against Trump.

One of his supporters thought the idea was "pure genius" after getting banned from social media sites since the new office could give him a new platform in politics.
