Pro-Trump Lawyer Lin Wood Claims He Has Evidence on 'Traitor' Mike Pence Treachery to Secret Service
Lin Wood, a Donald Trump supporter lawyer, has claimed under oath that he has evidence to prove that the former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence is a "traitor."
Wood said that he had already provided the evidence proving Pence's treachery to the U.S. Secret Service in a court filing on Tuesday. The filing was made parts of an effort to remove him as the laswyer for Roslyn La Liberte, which is a defamation lawsuit against MSNBC anchor Joy Reid.
Reid's attorney then noted Wood's claim that Pence is a "traitor" and several other controversial remarks as evidence of his misconduct, according to a Newsweek report.
The Reid suit is being adjudicated in New York state, where Wood is not licensed to practice law. He had previously been granted pro hac vice status, which gives lawyers permission on a case-by-case basis.
Reid's attorney, John Reichman, recently filed a motion to revoke that pro hac vice admission based on alleged misconduct, which includes statements made by Wood ahead of Jan. 6, including the past several months.
Meanwhile, a Delaware judge in January has revoked a prior order that had allowed Wood to represent Carter Page in a lawsuit. In addition, the Georgia State Bar has also been eyeing Wood.
Reid's attorney said in their motion to disqualify that Wood's statements had gone beyond mere hyperbole, according to a Law and Crime report.
"Wood has traveled far beyond that [First Amendment] boundary, encouraging the siege on the Capitol to thwart the vote count, falsely attacking the Chief Justice and the judicial system, filing frivolous lawsuits, and violating with impunity the rules of the legal profession," Reichman was quoted on a report.
Reichman added that the pro hac vice status should be revoked to protect the rule of law and the public's confidence in it.

Wood's Statements and Claims
One of the most controversial claims that Wood made was the one involving Chief Justice John Roberts. Wood claims that after the election and months before the election Roberts called former president Trump "motherfucker" during an overheard phone call.
Woods said on his since-suspended Twitter account at the time that that might be the most important tweet of his life.
However, as of now, Roberts has not responded to any of Woods's allegations, which Wood cited in his response to the Reichman filing.
Wood said that he has not received a retraction demand from Roberts or his counsel and has not made any claim to data that his statements are false and defamatory.
In addition, Wood has also written on Twitter just days before the Jan. 6 Capitol breach that Pence should be executed by "firing squad" and for "treason."
Trump supporters who illegally entered the Capitol that day caused the former vice president and members of Congress to shelter from a mob, who allegedly chanted "hang Mike Pence," according to an Independent report.
The Georgia State Bar is preparing proceedings against Wood that could cost him his legal license, citing reasons of "mental illness," according to a Forbes report.
