Salma Hayek is shooting down claims that she married her husband, luxury goods millionaire, Francois-Henri Pinault, for money.

The 54-year-old actress and the 58-year-old CEO of Kering luxury group have been married since 2009. Pinault was known to be the CEO of the group who owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent.

"And, you know, when I married him, everybody said, 'Oh, it's an arranged marriage, she married him for the money. I'm like, 'Yeah, whatever, b--.' Think what you want," Hayek was quoted in a Today report.

The actress added that fifteen years together they are still strong in love, saying that she does not even get offended and just shrugged it off. She added that her husband has made her a better person and grow in a good and healthy way.

Hayek added that there are stereotypes associated with wealthy men, saying that those do not apply to her husband, even if she though them herself before. She said that immediately people think that because somebody is rich, he might not be a good person, might be somebody materialistic, and that does not have values.

Hayek added that Pinault melted all the preconceptions she had when she came in his life.

Hayek said that her husband finishes work no matter how hard it was and he comes home happily with a big smile on his face, happy to see her and their kids, according to a Maxim report.

Children

Hayek and Pinault are parents to their 13-year-old daughter Valentina and celebrated their 12th anniversary on Valentine's Day.

Pinault also has three children from previous relationship, which Hayek considers to be a good thing as she always wanted more than one child, according to a Cheat Sheet report.

Hayek was older when she and Pinault got together and did not have Valentina until she was 41. She was unable to have more children, so she is glad to love her husband's children liker own.

Hayek said that she always wanted to have a lot of children and was not able to. She added that it is a huge blessing that her husband has three other children, with that she has now four children and they are all different.

Hayek has been outspoken about how hard it is to be a working parent and she urges parents to be "present" with their children. She added that it is easy to set up a child in front of a screen.

However, Hayek said that it is more rewarding to force them to participate in life. She said that it is not an easy task, but it is worth it.

She said that it takes a lot of work and mothers are very tired as most of the work and life is exhausting, especially if one is an older mom like her. However, she said that moms have to make the effort.
