Famed fashion photographer Terry Richardson has been accused of sexual misconduct by plenty of models.

And though some brands have stopped working with him since the allegations came out, others have stood by his side. This weekend, New York Magazine released an article in which the photographer tells his side of the story.

The most famous person he talks about may be Lindsay Lohan, whom he has photographed plenty of times. She included him in the list of sexual partners she had to name as part of her last rehab treatment. The list was leaked.

"Somehow she said we spent a romantic night making love at the Chateau Marmont," he said. "Which never happened. Then, on the Internet, people are like, 'He did this and that.' But it's totally untrue.

"So much of this [photography] stuff, it's great, it's emotional to get in and work with someone, let things happen organically, just work off feelings in the moment, powerful, I love doing portraits. It's hard to explain. Just this kind of beautiful interaction and connection you get."

Richardson's pictures are explicit, and the fashion world has been drawn to him because of the shock factor.

He did one of Miley Cyrus' most scantily clad photo shoots. But he has also photographed other public figures, such as then-Sen. Barack Obama.

Models have said he forced them to perform sexual acts on him or vice versa.

As his career progressed, Richardson started taking off his own clothes during shoots. He said it was to make models feel more comfortable about posing nude. But he insists it was never inappropriate.

"It was never just me and a girl ever," he said. "It was always assistants, or other people around, or girls brought friends over to hang out. It was very daytime, no drugs, no alcohol. It was a happening, there was energy, it was fun, it was exciting, making these strong images, and that's what it was. People collaborating and exploring sexuality and taking pictures."

In response to this New York Magazine story, another model has come out to say Richardson took advantage of her. Her story was published in Jezebel, as was one last week that similarly said he was inappropriate.
