Daniel Arenas considers himself very lucky.

"Since the day I was born, I've been lucky," he said, according to El Diario NY. "My parents are the most important people in my life and who I appreciate and love most in this world. I consider myself someone with a lot of luck."

Despite this, he said he knows there are still a lot of goals he has to reach. Though, with his latest project, he has accomplished another one of his goals: working with Maite Perroni.

"For a long time, I've dreamt about working with Maite," he said. "She has the most likeable personality of this generation."

He added that his characters are influenced by his own personal experiences.

Arenas said he is also all for growing because he thinks it's a mistake to think that you have seen and done everything. After all, with each passing year, you are a different person, he said. But he wants to remain the same person to the people who knew him, whether it was 10 years ago when he was working in Colombia or 20 years ago when he was an adolescent.

"Being the same with my parents, with my neighbor, with the people on the street that approach me," he said. "I think that on the path to success you don't have to put on a mask and pretend to be something else."

He said he hopes to work in English-language movies or to do more work in Mexico and Colombia. He's not even sure if he will live in Los Angeles or New York next but that he knows both cities will bring him plenty more opportunities.

He also spoke about his childhood and admitted that he was a bit naughty, especially because he was basically an only child.

His parents had six children but they were all a bit older than he was. His brother, Javier, is the second youngest and is eight years older than Arenas.
