Bigfoot Sightings and Video: 'Finding Bigfoot' T.V. Series Investigates Area in Virginia Where Baby Sasquatch Evidence Was Filmed
"Finding Bigfoot," a TV series on the Animal Planet in which four researchers interview people who claim to have seen Bigfoot, took a trip to a wooded area in Virginia where an outdoor columnist claimed to have taken a photo of a baby Sasquatch.
Each week on the show, the researchers set up re-enactments of the sighting to try to prove the existence of Sasquatch. On the June 15 episode, the team decided to explore Pulaski, Virginia, for one week in search of the mythical creature.
Since most Bigfoot sightings occur when camping, the team set up a campsite and used normal sights and sounds to try to lure a Sasquatch. In addition to clanging pans, the team tried out a new technique using a Bigfoot figure with light-up yellow eyes, The Examiner reported.
The producers of "Finding Bigfoot" decided to head to Pulaski after the Southwest Times published a photo of the back of an unusual animal near a trail cam by the West Virginia border. The photo went viral and stirred up lots of buzz from people who believe the animal in question is a juvenile Bigfoot. The photo, however, which was taken by outdoor columnist Roger Williams, was not considered definitive by the "Finding Bigfoot" experts because of the scale and curvature of the shoulders and backside.
Although "Finding Bigfoot" is now in its fifth season, critics say that the producers may want to consider renaming it "Searching for Bigfoot" being that the investigators have yet to actually find the beast.
Last month, Bigfoot enthusiasts converged in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, to exchange ideas and theories about the mysterious Sasquatch. According to the Patriot-News, on May 24 about 50 enthusiasts and investigators gathered at the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre for Bigfoot Day in the small town, which is about 120 miles northwest of Harrisburg.
