Coachella 2022: Here's How to Get Tickets to the World's Most Famous Music Festival
After a two-year postponement due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Coachella returns once again in April 2022.
Coachella is scheduled to take place on April 15-17 and April 22-24. Eager participants to the world's most-known music festival will have to first register for access to the show's advance sale, which will start on June 4, according to a Rolling Stone report.
However, the festival's lineup has yet to be announced. It is also not yet clear how different it would be from the 2020's show.

How To Get Coachella Tickets
While sales go live on the Coachella website on June 4, participants will have to register for access and hope to get through the line before tickets sell out, according to SFGate.
If this is the case, tickets can still be bought on sites like Stubhub or Seatgeek without going through the hassle. However, it will be more costly. General admission tickets were already more than $600 as of Friday afternoon.
Coachella offers a variety of payment plans for the tickets. One option is a payment plan with $99 down at checkout in June 2021. The remaining balance would then be divided over eight equal payments every month until February 2022.
The second option offers a 25 percent reduction at checkout in June 2021, with the remaining balance to be made over three equal payments every month through September 2021.
The event has a policy of not shipping the ordered tickets unless it has already been paid full. Customers will have a 10-day grace period to pay if their payment if declined.
The event also offers travel packages, including passes, hotel stays, and shuttle for two to four people. Customers can also opt to reserve a furnished tent or yurt during their stay at the music festival.
Frank Ocean, Travis Scott, and Rage Against the Machine were being eyed to headline the 2020 event, which was canceled due to the pandemic.
This year's returning events are Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Pitchfork Music Festival, and Gov Ball, according to a Vulture report. Meanwhile, next year's festivals are Primavera Sound and Glastonbury.
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival's History
The first Coachella was held in October 1999 at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California. Goldenvoice had founded the music festival with aims to attract fans with a wide-ranging lineup of artists, according to an Insider report. The first lineup includes Beck, Rage Against The Machine, and Tool.
The 2001 headliners include Jane's Addiction, Weezer, The Roots, Paul Oakenfold, and Fatboy Slim. One of the most memorable shows was in 2004 when band reunions took place with Jane's Addiction appearing together amid a breakup.
Coachella 1999 was considered to be an affordable choice for concertgoers. The entrance fee was worth $50 that included parking and a complimentary bottle of water.
Coachella got sold out for the first time in 2004. It was held across two days in May, featuring performances from Radiohead, Pixies, The Cure, and The Flaming Lips. It also saw its highest number in its before five-year history, drawing a crowd of 120,000.
In 2019, the festival's headliners were Childish Gambino, Ariana Grande, and Tame Impala, which sold out in 40 minutes.
