The Milwaukee Bucks took the momentum back in their series against the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals as they secured Game 3 on the road, 113-102, taking a 2-1 series lead.

With the back-back victories, the Milwaukee squad proved to critics that they had already got the home-court advantage in the East Finals. After losing Game 1 at home, the Bucks stars stepped up and delivered good numbers to regain the momentum in the series.

According to CBS Sports, the Milwaukee Bucks was carried by Khris Middleton in the final minutes of the game. The Bucks' star forward dropped a 20-point performance in the fourth quarter to take Game 3 in Atlanta. Middleton finished the game with a playoff career-high performance of 38 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists.

In his last three outings, The Bucks forward, Khris Middleton, only shot 33.9 percent in the field. Middleton's Game 1 performance cost the Bucks another long series. Before heading to the East Finals, the Bucks played a long series against the Brooklyn Nets that reached Game 7.

Middleton shot 6-of-23 in Game 1, and it has been the story of his postseason. The Bucks' forward struggled for a few nights prior to playoff career-high performance. He only scored a total of 30 points in their first two losses to Brooklyn, but he scored 35 points in a critical Game 3 win. Middleton then topped that performance with a 38-point scoring night to win a Game 6 win over the Nets, but Sunday night was his best outing of the postseason yet.

Timely Performances

The Milwaukee Bucks recorded 30 points in the fourth period, and more than half of it came from Middleton. The Bucks' star also made more 3-pointers compared to the rest of the team. Middleton made six triples while the rest of the Bucks team only had five 3-pointers. He also matched the statistics of his teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo in the rebounding department with 11 boards and got seven assists.

On the other hand, Milwaukee's third star Jrue Holiday, who had an amazing outing in Game 2 was missing in Game 3. Holiday only shot two of 11 from the field in Atlanta. In Game 2, Holiday scored 22 points with a struggling Middleton. The Milwaukee squad delivered timely performances to outlast the Hawks in the past two games.

Off-night scoring was the trend for the Bucks of this postseason. The Bucks can't get their two secondary stars going at once, but it did not become a problem for the Bucks. The 'Greek Freak' Giannis Antetokounmpo has been on both ends of the floor this postseason. So far, the Bucks only need to have one of their other two leaders generate enough offense to get the win.

Despite the 35-point performance of Hawks' star point guard Trae Young in another stellar outing, the Bucks managed to steal Game 3 on the road, the Los Angeles Times reported. The Milwaukee team will try to take a commanding 3-1 lead in Atlanta on Tuesday and eyes to finish the series at home in Game 5. The Bucks are only two wins away on their first trip to the NBA Finals since 1974.
