Ever since LeBron James entered a rare early offseason break, 'the King' has been a full-time dad to his family especially to Bronny, who had games recently.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar has been a regular at the high school basketball games of his eldest son Bronny, even bringing along some celebrity friends to watch the action.

However, during the latest game of Bronny, which was a prep basketball game between his son Bronny's team Strive for Greatness and Wildcat Select, the spotlight was placed on LeBron James.

According to Clutch Points, LeBron James confronted the arena's PA announcer when the announcer insinuated that Bronny was getting a favorable whistle just because he was LeBron James' son and they were playing in the arena named after the King. James walked towards the announcer and told him a couple of things before the refs and standby police officers escorted the NBA star back to his seat. James took exception and confronted the man while the entire arena staring.

Moreover, the LeBron James confrontation happened during the final minutes of Wildcat Select's 73-69 overtime victory. With Wildcat Select leading 67-62, James stood up from his seat close to the corner-three area in the baseline to yell at the PA announcer after the disrespectful comments about Bronny's perks for being LeBron's son.

After an exchange of words, James walked past a barrier and onto the court to confront the announcer face-to-face who was sitting at midcourt. Gameplay halted for a moment as James had his say before he returned to his seat.

When things inside the arena calmed down, LeBron received a round of applause for standing up for himself and his son. Even the broadcasters during the game agreed with James and stated that nobody should put the spotlight on LeBron especially when his son was competing in the middle of the court. They also agreed that Bronny was indeed fouled during the play that he executed, FTW via USA Today reported.

The Son of the King

The King, himself, LeBron James, knows the burden placed on Bronny as his son tries to carve out his own name in the world of basketball. James stated that all he wants as a father is for his son to get a fair shake, just as he did years ago.

On the other hand, the recent games of Bronny have been played in St. Vincent-St. Mary High School's own gymnasium, which is now called the LeBron James arena. The young prospect may not be the transcendent prospect that his father was, but he put up enough plays to fill a highlight reel. The game was part of a three-day event called "The Battle: Summer Showcase" which featured the high-level midwest teams and the prospects in the area.

Also, in another recent game, Bronny James threw down one the type of breakaway dunk his dad has done many times on the same floor where LeBron first began turning heads, The Spun reported.
