Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer of "Cinderella," featuring Camila Cabello and Billy Porter. The remake of the classic fairytale is set to hit the video streaming platform on September 3.

Coming Soon reported that the movie also features Idina Menzel of "Frozen." The Cinderella remake was written and directed by Kay Cannon.

The movie's heroine is Camila Cabello, who is an ambitious young woman full of dreams. Billy Porter is set to help the heroine make her dreams come true.

The musically driven film included pop songs from contemporary global artists and original songs by Cabello and Menzel.

Idina Menzel will play Cabello's stepmother. Galitzine will be Prince Robert finding a bride. On the other hand, Porter will be playing Cabello's fabulous godmother, according to a Deadline report.

Cinderella had been set up at Sony Pictures. However, it was licensed worldwide rights to Amazon in April during a time of uncertainty about movie theaters due to the pandemic.

Billy Porter said that he would play his role as genderless. He said that how profound it is that he is laying the Fairy Godmother. The actor further noted that magic has no gender, Elle reported.

Billy Porter also said that the movie is a classic fairytale for a new generation, adding that he thinks the new generation is "really ready."

Missy Elliot will also be in the upcoming movie as the Town Crier. Cinderella's three mice friends will be Corden, John Mulaney, and Romesh Ranganathan.

The filming of Cinderella in the U.K. was suspended for two weeks back in 2020, following a growing threat of the pandemic. Safety protocols and widespread and extensive testing were applied during the filming of the musical adaptation.

Camila Cabello wrote in October 2020, on the last day of the shooting, that she was grateful to have had the experience and for the crews that made it possible during a pandemic.

She added that she could not wait for people to see the movie. The official promotional poster for the film Cinderella was released on June 30.
