Paul McGann, the eighth Time Lord in BBC's hit television series "Doctor Who," was recently a guest at the Cambridge Union Society, where he talked about his involvement in a spinoff of the TV franchise. Apparently he is not done being the Doctor.

According to the Mirror, a sequel will follow "The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot," the comedy spoof and homage written and directed by Peter Davidson. Even with a low budget, the show managed to bring in lots of laughs as former "Doctor Who" stars campaigned to be involved in the 50th anniversary special. McGann had reprised his role as the eighth Doctor in the short special for the show's anniversary, called "Night of the Doctor."

Details are still sketchy, but already a lot of fans of the "Doctor Who" spoof are eagerly awaiting its return, and so are the actors.

Along with that surprise announcement, McGann also hinted that a woman might step into the TARDIS -- and not as companion. The actor favors having a female Doctor in the house and recommended both Diana Quick and Tilda Swinton to showrunner Steven Moffat. The actor also noted that the BBC had missed an opportunity by not having a woman join the show to play the "greatest character ever written."

The lead instead went to Peter Capaldi, who is filming the eighth season of the show's modern series. The season is slated to premiere in August, with the stars kicking off the show with a world tour. In the meantime, McGann has announced that production for "The Five(Ish) Doctors Reboot" sequel has begun, but he did not reveal what the Doctors would be doing this time around or when it would be shown.
