Clark has 16 years of ground-up and renovation architectural experience, having designed a wide range of projects from corporate office campuses to data storage facilities, public libraries, mission-critical facilities, multi-family housing, educational facilities, mixed-use buildings, sports complexes and industrial facilities.
"Scott has already proven to be a wonderful addition to the KAI Design team-he has already shown that he is a skilled practitioner with an astute design sense coupled with well-rounded technical delivery," said KAI Managing Partner Brad Simmons, FAIA. "His background and personal portfolio have quickly created a positive impact with our Design practice. Scott is a wonderful fit for KAI, and we are thrilled to have him with us."
Prior to KAI, he was a Senior Project Designer for Remiger Design in St. Louis and has held the positions of Architectural Designer at JEMA, a Technical Coordinator at HOK, and Project Architect at Kuhlmann Design Group, all based in St. Louis.
He is highly skilled at leveraging hand sketches and digital technology to illustrate design concepts and develop details for construction. He has experience working in large collaborative teams as well as managing smaller projects with tight budgets and time frames.
"I have a passion for design and the creative process. The opportunity to take an idea from concept to project delivery is the most satisfying feeling and continues to drive me," said Clark.
Some notable projects Clark has worked on include two ground-up Edward Jones headquarter buildings in St. Louis; a ground-up Centene Corporation data storage facility in O'Fallon, Missouri; and a new Maplewood Fire District station in Maplewood, Missouri.
Clark has a Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
