The Milwaukee Bucks will host NBA's "Noche Latina" on Wednesday, March 9, to celebrate the contributions and achievements of Hispanic and Latino communities.

Noche Latina is an NBA tradition to honor the league's fans and players from Latin America and the United States. It is now in its 16th year, CBS 58 reported.

The Bucks' celebration includes honoring Latino-led organizations. It will take place during the Bucks-Atlanta Hawks game.

Fans will get to enjoy Hispanic culture, including the 414 Squad playing Hispanic music and a salsa dancing halftime performance. The Milwaukee Bucks will wear Los Bucks warmup shirts.

NBA's Noche Latina Fits Into Milwaukee Bucks' Mission Of Supporting Community

Ruben Gaona, the co-founder and chief of operations for The Way Out, told CBS 58 that it was "nice" and "meaningful" to be recognized for his work on a night celebrating the Latino community.

The Way Out, founded in 2019, is an organization that aims to break the cycle of recidivism among people with records of convictions by connecting them with employment resources.

The Milwaukee Bucks said Noche Latina and honoring organizations, like The Way Out, fit their mission to connect and support the Milwaukee community.

Bucks director of partner strategy and management, Ryan Hooser, also told CBS 58 that they were honoring The Way Out and several other partners and groups to "shed kind of a little bit extra light to those partners and those groups."

Hooser continued that it would be a great way to deliver their message to all of their fans during such a great event.

NBA Continues Efforts With Latin Nights Éne-Bé-A

One of the NBA's efforts to connect with its fans and followers in Latin America and the Hispanic communities in the United States is the Latin Nights Éne-Bé-A.

All 30 teams in the league will be in action throughout March, wearing warmup jerseys displayed before matches and special merchandise sold through the NBA Store and franchise stores.

But that would not be the only thing. Within the framework of the 16th year of the Éne-Bé-A, the NBA will host a series of community activities to "celebrate and recognize the Hispanic culture." There will also be the presence of Hispanic-themed elements in selected games this month.

The celebration will be promoted in four nationally televised games. Last week, the Brooklyn Nets held their annual Noche Latina game in New York City to honor LatinX culture.

They announced the starting lineups in Spanish, and spectators were treated to a special halftime performance by Puerto Rican reggaeton star Lunay.

Other activities lined up by the NBA for Latin Nights: the Clippers Festival organized by Los Angeles Clippers, salsa and amateur dance contest with music in Spanish by Charlotte Hornets, a party at the Orlando Magic fan fest, and digital, social, and in-arena activations in the Chase Center by the Golden State Warriors.
