Texas Border Patrol Agents Rescue 4-Year-Old Child Left by Human Traffickers
Texas Border Patrol agents on Tuesday rescued a four-year-old child that was left by smugglers in the riverbanks, as confirmed by Chief Border Patrol Agent Jason Owens.
The chief patrol agent furthered that the child was escorted by a smuggler across the river and left her in the riverbanks.
Owens also stressed that the parents of the four-year-old were not around when they rescued her.
Authorities withheld the child's identity and did not mention where s/he was taken after the rescue. However, Owens said that the child is now "safe" courtesy of their border patrol agents.

Other Migrant Child Discovered by Texas Border Patrol Agents
Earlier in March, Marine units of the border patrol found a dead body in the Rio Grande river, NEWS4SA reported. The outlet furthered that the body matched the reports of a missing four-year-old from Nicaragua.
According to reports, the Texas National Guard encountered a group of migrants near the Eagle Pass. During this encounter, a woman said that she had accidentally dropped her child in the river and was swept away by the current.
The report prompted air support from Border Patrol agents that began searching for the child.
The body of the dead four-year-old child was found six days after the mother reported her missing. Authorities confirmed that the child drowned, resulting in her death.
Since October, Fox News noted that around 220,000 illegal immigrants evaded Border Patrol.
In January, former DHS officials told Fox News that the Biden Administration should also put their focus on deterring human trafficking.
"When you increase the number of people being smuggled, the increase in trafficking goes along with that, so if they're really, really serious not just about addressing and reacting to trafficking, if they're really serious about trying to prevent it, they'd secure our borders," former acting Customs and Border Protection commissioner Mark Morgan underscored.
U.S. Officials Buckle Up on Massive Migration
The four-year child was rescued by the Border Patrol agents days after sources told Axios that U.S. intelligence officials are bracing themselves for an upcoming migration influx when Title 42 ends.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reportedly planned to discuss with Mexico regarding the ending of Title 42, Axios noted, citing Buzzfeed News.
According to reports, a massive influx of more than 170,000 migrants is expected to come to the U.S.-Mexico Border once the COVID-era policy ends. Furthermore, intelligence from the DHS estimated that around 25,000 migrants are already waiting in Mexican shelters for the end of Title 42.
It can be recalled that Title 42 was issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) under the regime of former President Donald Trump in 2020, citing the pandemic as a reason to expel migrants seeking asylum in the United States.
Axios noted that CDC reassesses Title 42 every 60 days, and the next deadline of its renewal is in early April.
