Did Buccaneers QB Tom Brady Really Ask for a Trade to Dolphins? Miami Coach Says It's 'Fake News'!
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has refuted claims that Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will possibly be part of his team.
McDaniel described the Brady to Dolphins as "fake news," according to a Fan Sided News report.
Trading Brady would alienate Miami's starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, which is a player general manager Chris Grier used as the No. 5 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.
In addition, Brady will be 45 years old, which would mean Dolphins would be punting on a quarterback nearly half the age of the Buccaneers' quarterback.
There is still a chance for Brady to be traded. However, it is way more likely than not that he will play at his age out of Michigan for the same NFC South Franchise.
McDaniel told reporters that it has not been in the conversation that Brady would be coming to Miami, according to a CBS Sports News report.
McDaniel also spoke about Tagovailoa, saying that he and his new quarterback is off to "a good start."
The Dolphins' coach said that he and Tagovailoa have both been very honest with each other.
Tom Brady NFL Comeback
In March, Brady opened the door again and announced his return to the Buccaneers for a 23rd NFL season.
Bucs top officials such as coach Bruce Arians and general manager Jason Licht celebrated "Brady's homecoming" and saw it as "another championship run," according to another CBS Sports News report.
Rob Gronkowski earlier speculated that it was only a matter of time before he walks through it.
Brady admitted that he would "never say never" about returning to the league just one week after his announcement.
Gronkowski said that Brady "can play at any age," saying that he can still come back even if he is 50 years old, according to an NBC Sports News report. He added that Brady "is a beast" and can play anytime.
Gronkowski announced his retirement in 2019 but returned in 2020 to win a Super Bowl together with Brady with the Buccaneers.
Brady earlier said upon his retirement that he is taking things as they come, adding that he tries to make the best possible decision that he could at the moment.
Brady reasoned that his decision to retire was heavily influenced by factors outside the sport, rather than injuries or age, according to The Guardian report.
The Bucs quarterback has three children with his wife, Gisele Bundchen, who is a model and businesswoman.
Bundchen has offered to put her own professional life on hold to support Brady's NFL career.
Arians commented on the way that Brady played last year, saying that it might have been Brady's "best year ever," according to an NFL News report.
The Buccaneers' head coach said that he has no clue where the rumors of him and Brady having a rift between them.
He said that he and Brady have a great relationship and would update each other on what was happening in their lives.
