Lakers Star LeBron James Gets Strong Criticism From Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for Ugly Actions
Lakers star LeBron James was criticized once again by legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar on Sunday for his past actions and stance on COVID-19 and other issues.
According to ESPN, Abdul-Jabbar said the athlete should be ashamed of some of his previous actions.
"Some of the things he's done and said are really beneath him, as far as I can see," the Lakers legend noted.
Abdul-Jabbar added that he sees some of the great things that James has done, which makes him look like he was almost "standing on both sides of the fence."
"It makes it hard for me to accept that when he's committed himself to a different take on everything. It's hard to figure out where he's standing. You've got to check him out every time," Abdul-Jabbar noted.
It can be recalled that LeBron James was placed under fire earlier this season when he supported Andrew Wiggins' vaccine hesitancy, the Los Angeles Times reported.
James also shared a "Spider-Man" meme comparing COVID-19 to flu and cold in December. Abdul-Jabbar noted that he was not throwing stones against the Lakers star, and he admired the things that James did, like sending a whole school to college.
However, he said: "I just wish he wouldn't - you know, some of the things he's done, he should be embarrassed about. That's just where I'm coming from," according to Bleacher Report.

Lakers Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Willing to Discuss Differences with LeBron James
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also said that he is willing to have a talk with LeBron James and discuss the differences in their stands and opinions.
"I wouldn't mind doing it if he would take the time. I definitely got the time," the Lakers legend noted.
Despite criticizing the Lakers star, Abdul-Jabbar said people should still give James credit for "his thoughtfulness," adding that he uses his own money to do that.
Abdul-Jabbar made his comments during an interview before the Lakers lost to the Denver Nuggets, 129-118. Lebron James was not able to play in Sunday's game against the Nuggets due to ankle soreness.
Other Criticisms Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Made Against Lakers Star LeBron James
It was not the first time that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar criticized LeBron James for his actions. The Lakers legend previously expressed his thoughts on how James celebrated a late-game overtime win against the Indiana Pacers. During this time, according to ESPN, James mimicked the dance that former NBA All-Star Sam Cassell made popular.
In a video, Abdul-Jabbar said LeBron James should not have done that, arguing that winning is enough.
"Why do you need to do a stupid, childish dance and disrespect the other team on the court? It doesn't make sense. GOATs don't dance," Abdul-Jabbar noted.
The Lakers legend also commented on the "Spider-Man" comparison of COVID-19 to flu and cold, saying that the social media post made by the Lakers star was a blow to his worth legacy.
LeBron James declined to comment on Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's criticism. Last December, the Lakers star said he does not have a response to the Lakers legend's comment about his COVID-19 meme. James added that his tag honestly asks the public to help him figure "this pandemic out."
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Clarifies LeBron James Statement
Meanwhile, the Lakers legend helped unveil a trophy bearing his name and his hands on a basketball for the NBA's Social Justice Champion Award later Sunday.
In an interview with reporters that followed, Abdul-Jabbar was asked about his past criticisms of James.
"Today a reporter asked me a question about Lebron James and I regret my off-handed response which has been blown out of proportion," the Lakers legend tweeted.
"For years I've expressed my deep admiration and respect for LeBron as a community leader and athlete. That hasn't changed and never will," he added.
