Prince William and Kate Middleton are planning to move to Windsor soon due to concerns among the royals that the Queen has been spending too much time with her disgraced son Prince Andrew, who lives right next to her.

According to Cosmopolitan, a source told The Sun that since Prince Andrew lives next door, he is always there for the Queen.

The source said the family was glad Andrew was always on hand, but there were "real fears" that the Duke of York was using his closeness to the Queen to bounce back into public life despite being banished from "The Firm" in January.

Prince Andrew lives in the Royal Lodge, which William and Kate have checked out as an option to move into. However, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge dismissed it as Andrew would "not budge."

The source noted that the royal couple was hoping to move this summer and now looking at private homes in the area due to royal properties being in use already.

The Duke of York reportedly negotiated a 75-year lease on the 31-bedroom home for £1 million in 2003.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Moving Closer to the Queen

Prince William and Kate Middleton have divided their time between Norfolk and Kensington Palace. Kate and William have ruled out Fort Belvedere, which was once home to King Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson.

Sources told The Sun the couple was also eyeing Frogmore House, where they often take their children -George, Charlotte, and Louis - to play at weekends.

There were also reports that the two could take Adelaide Cottage in the shadow of Windsor Castle. However, the premise is currently being lived in.

Royal sources have dismissed claims that the couple is to have apartments in Windsor Castle. Prince William and Kate Middleton's plan to move to Windsor comes amid fears that Andrew has been getting too close to the Queen.

Prince Andrew Escorted the Queen

A royal expert has claimed that Prince Charles and Prince William will not allow Prince Andrew to be involved in The Firm's future events.

Andrew has taken the center stage during Prince Philip's memorial last week, escorting the Queen to the front row of Westminster Abbey, leaving the royal family "dismayed," according to Daily Mail.

The Dean of Westminster was expected to take the Queen to her seat, with the Duke of York behind. However, Prince Andrew has escorted his mother all the way to her front-row position to the shock of many in the congregation. It was shown in full view of the live broadcast cameras.

It was Prince Andrew's first public appearance since he struck the out-of-court settlement with Jeffrey Epstein victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who had accused him of rape.

According to Daily Mail, insiders claimed that Andrew would use the opportunity as a springboard to support his mother at a Platinum Jubilee service at St. Paul's Cathedral in June. They also claimed that the Duke of York is not bothered if "public opinion is against him."

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams suggested that there was "no way" that Charles and William would accept Andrew's part in the celebrations.

Fitzwilliams noted that he does not expect to see Andrew appear in royal events in the near future. Some experts suggested that Prince Andrew walking with the Queen was Her Majesty's way of signaling it's "ok" and "very clearly stating that he has a role at family occasions."

Last month, Prince Andrew agreed to settle the sexual assault lawsuit from Virginia Roberts Giuffre but made no apology to her or admitted any guilt.

The amount that the 61-year-old prince would pay Giuffre was confidential. But the Daily Mail disclosed that Prince Andrew would pay Giuffre at least £12 million with the help of his mother. The outlet noted that the Queen would partly fund the settlement.
