Jada Pinkett Smith has talked about her husband, Will Smith, slapping Chris Rock during the Oscars, saying that the family has been focusing on "deep healing."

Pinkett Smith said in a statement at the start of Wednesday's Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk, that some of the discoveries around their healing will be shared when the time calls, according to an NBC News report.

Pinkett Smith was around the red table with daughter Willow Smith, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, and first guest actress and singer Janelle Monae.

The actress seemed to have broken her silence over the matter of her husband slapping Rock, two days after the incident. Pinkett Smith wrote on Instagram that it is a "season for healing," adding that she was "here for it."

Red Table Talk has had other famous guests, including mother-daughter Kim Basinger and Ireland Baldwin, according to a Yahoo Entertainment report. One victim of Tinder Swindler, Simon Leviev, has shared her story on RTT, including Anna Sorokin's former friend Rachel DeLoache Williams.

Will Smith Slap and Chris Rock

Chris Rock had made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, saying that he was looking forward to seeing her in "G.I. Jane 2."

Pinkett Smith has opened up about being diagnosed with alopecia in 2018, which is a condition that causes hair loss.

The film "G.I. Jane" features Demi Moore. Moore shaved her head for military service.

Will Smith has been banned from the Oscars for 10 years after the slapping incident, which was caught live on camera, according to a Vox News report.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said that their action in response to Smith's behavior is a step toward a larger goal of protesting performers and guests.

Meanwhile, Smith resigned from the Academy on April 1. He said in a statement that he accepts and respects the Academy's decision.

The comedian was present during the awarding ceremony for the announcement of the Best Documentary winner. Rock swayed slightly after Smith's slap, saying that the actor just "smacked the shit out of me, everybody." Smith then shouted from the audience to keep his wife's name out of Rock's mouth. Rock then said that it was a G.I. Jane joke, to which Smith replied by repeating his first retort.

The Academy noted that the situation unfolded in a way that they did not expect, adding that Smith was asked to leave the ceremony and refused.

Academy's President David Rubin, and CEO Dawn Hudson, reportedly spoke with Smith at the show, according to a Page Six report.

The Academy apologized to the comedian in a statement, saying that they thank him for his resilience at that moment. The organization also apologized to nominees, guests, and viewers for what happened during what should have been a celebratory event.

Smith took home the Best Actor Oscar for his performance in "King Richard." He played Serena and Venus Williams' father, who had also condemned Smith's actions.
