Drake & Nicki Minaj Instagram, News & Music: Pair Confirms Collaboration on 'Pink Print' Album
Nicki Minaj has confirmed that fellow Young Money rapper and frequent collaborator Drake will be working on her upcoming third studio album "The Pink Print."
While sitting down with Capital Xtra's Kojo and Jade on Monday morning, June 23, the Trinidadian emcee revealed that there should "definitely" be another collaboration from the "Moment 4 Life" duo on the new project.
"I'm a massive fan of [Drake] too, that's my baby," she said. "And I hope and pray we'll have [a collaboration] on there. I think that we'll definitely have one on there."
We're supposed to meet up this week to get some stuff crack-a-ling in the studio," she said. "I think there'll be another feature on the album that will blow people away. I'm super excited about that too, but it's obviously a secret."
Minaj also discussed working with rapper The Game on the recently released music video for her latest lead single "Pill N Potions": "He was really dope to work with. He came really last minute. We reached out to him and he came right away. I think he was in the studio at the time.
"I wanted a guy for the video, and the producers booked two rappers that I didn't think really fit," she said. "It was my idea to reach out to The Game. I knew he lived in LA. I had never hung out with him before ever in my life.
"But he had made a comment about me on Instagram or something like that, and me and my girlfriend were just there laughing," she said. "And I thought, 'You know what, let's see if he can come by.' And he was able to come."
In addition, the "Starships" hitmaker spoke about her new, more natural and subdue look portrayed in the visual for emotional slow jam "Pills N Potions" -- saying how it goes well with the upcoming record. "It is very stripped down and bare and honest and truthful. It works!"
Nicki Minaj is yet to reveal the official release date for her forthcoming album "The Pink Print." However, she has assured fans it will be dropped by the end of the year.
