Joe Biden's White House Chief of Staff Hits Back at President's Low Approval Rating; Compares Data to French Pres. Emmanuel Macron's Rating
President Joe Biden's White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain subtly hit back on the executive's recent low approval rating in several multiple polls.
According to The Daily Mail, the tweet from Klain on Sunday looked like an indirect response to the criticisms against Biden's low approval rating and other factors that can stop him from being a viable presidential candidate in 2024.
In a tweet, Klain likened the approval ratings of President Joe Biden and French president Emmanuel Macron.
"President Macron appears to have secured a double-digit victory over LePen, at a time when his approval rating is 36%. Hmmm..," Klain highlighted.
Klein also noted that his statement was only his interesting observation.
The White House chief of staff also included a report about the Global Leader Approval Ratings.
The Daily Mail noted that the report included a survey where Biden had a 40 percent approval among American adults, four points better than Macron and eight points above British Prime Minister Boris Johnson with 32 percent support.
Joe Biden's Recent Approval Ratings From Gallup Survey
Ron Klain tweeted his comment on Sunday, days after a Gallup Survey revealed that President Joe Biden's approval ratings for the fifth quarter, which began on January 20 and ended on April 19, are at 41.3 percent. Meanwhile, the survey revealed that about 56 percent of American adults disapproved of how Biden handles his job as the president of the United States.
Biden's recent approval is "essentially unchanged" from the 41.7 percent rating during his fourth quarter in his office, per Gallup. However, the organizer of the survey revealed that his current approval rating is significantly lower than his first three quarterly averages.
Gallup also claimed that Biden's fifth quarter approval rating is the second-lowest rating for a president during the same quarter, next to former President Donald Trump, who received 39.1 percent.
"Six of the 11 post-World War II presidents elected to their first term in office had fifth quarter averages above 50%, including three who were above 70%," Gallup underscored.
The survey organizer also explained that the troubled U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, increasing gas prices, and inflation are among the factors that led to the decline of Biden.
However, the group said there is a way for Biden to regain his approval rating.
"One way Biden's numbers could improve is for him to regain support he has lost among key Democratic constituencies such as young adults, Black adults, and Hispanic adults," the survey organizer said in a statement.
Furthermore, Biden would also need to improve his standing among political independents to persuade people to vote a Democratic rather than Republican Congressional candidates.
Steve Hilton Says Pres. Joe Biden's Second Term Is 'Offensive'
Meanwhile, political commentator and former British political adviser said that President Joe Biden running for a second term is "offensive and absurd," highlighting 24 reasons on his show "The Next Revolution," per Fox News.
Among the reasons Hilton mentioned is that Biden is now senile, pointing out how the president reacts in public.
Hilton also underscored that Pres. Joe Biden is a weak, corrupt machine official who stands for nothing and is pushed around by whoever holds power in his party.
Hilton also claimed that President Joe Biden does not acknowledge that his policies caused a dilemma among working-class Americans who were already crashed by inflation as real wages collapsed.
"He is wrecking the economy [and] he will only make it worse," Hilton said.
