Johnny Depp received more support from the internet people after the "Remove Amber Heard From Aquaman 2" petition garnered over three million signatures from people online.

As of Monday, the petition published on Change.org has a total of 3,154,134 signatures from the people, sounding their support for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star. The petition's current goal is to reach 4,500,000 signatures to become one of the top petitions on the website.

It can be recalled that the petition gained traction in November of 2020, reaching 1.5 million signatures in the light of Depp being booted from the movie franchise "Fantastic Beasts."

The said petition was hosted by fans who believe that Amber Heard has systematically made Johnny Depp's career in Hollywood suffer. As a result, the petitioners want Amber heard out of "Aquaman 2."

"Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry," the petitioners underscored, calling on the Warner Brothers and the DC Entertainment.

Amber Heard Op-Ed 'Catastrophic' to Johnny Depp's Career - Agent

The online petition reached over three million signatures the same day Johnny Depp's agent, Jack Whigham, took to the stand on the duo's defamation trial. Whigham claimed that the actress' op-ed in 2018 was a disaster for Depp's acting career, per The Daily Mail.

"With respect to Johnny, it was catastrophic because it was coming from a first person account, it was not from a journalist, not someone observing, it was from someone saying this happened to me," the agent pointed out.

The agent added that Depp signed a deal with Disney to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in the "Pirates of the Caribbean," but the studio decided to drop him in 2019. When asked by Heard's attorney during cross-examination about why there is no document regarding Depp's acting in the sixth installment of the "Pirates of the Caribbean," Whigham noted that they would work on many deals that are verbal agreement.

Johnny Depp's agent also shared that between December 2018 and October 2020, the actor appeared in "zero" studio films.

Richard Marks, an entertainment lawyer, also took to the stand on Monday as an expert, claiming that Heard's op-ed damaged Depp's career.

Marks stressed that the op-ed created a cancel situation for Johnny Depp. He added that studies would not want to hire an actor who is followed by negativity.

"You wouldn't want to pay to bring your brand down," Marks emphasized.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard Defamation Trial

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are battling over a 2018 op-ed that the actress wrote for Washington Post, painting herself as a domestic violence survivor.

The article did not blatantly mention Depp, but the actor said that he was removed from several movie projects because of it. He is seeking $50 million in damages.

Meanwhile, Heard issued a counterclaim against Depp, asking $100 million for nuisance.
