Lakers star LeBron James has once again received a major insult from former U.S. President Donald Trump. In a political rally in Nebraska, Trump took aim at James when the subject of transgender athletes came up, according to a Sports Illustrated News report.

Trump asked during his rally speech if LeBron ever had thoughts about "going woman," adding that he does not like the NBA player very much. The former president then said that if James ever thought about being a woman, Trump would love James to have him on his basketball team.

Trump does not own a women's basketball team, according to a Marca News report.

James has been in a feud with Trump since NBA player slammed the former president after a group of his supporters stormed Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. He said at the time that the event at Capitol Hill was not an example of the "beautiful country" that the U.S. is.

The fight between the two started when James sided with the Democratic party in 2016. The former president has not stopped trying to attack James since then. However, the NBA player has yet to respond to any of the politician's outrageous remarks.

LeBron James has commented after a Wisconsin prosecutor decided not to charge a police officer who shot a Black man last year. His statement was released when a violent mob loyal to Trump breached the Capitol to delay Congress from certifying the victory of U.S. President Joe Biden.

James said at the time that people live in two Americas and the Capitol riot was a "prime example of that," according to The Guardian report. He then said that he could not help but wonder if those were his kind storming the Capitol.

James wore a shirt walking into Staples Center before the game that read, "DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?"

James said he wants people to understand what athletes and Black people are saying when asked what he meant by his shirt.

The NBA player said that one will never understand the feeling of being a Black man and woman in America.

Sam Amick from the Athletic said that he does not think James will sign a contract extension with the Lakers, according to another Sports Illustrated report. Amick added that he based his theory on conversations with people who have a "strong sense of such things."

He added that it is clear that James is considering playing out the contract rather than signing a two-year extension in the summer.

James told Amick that the conversation has not been talked about due to the collective bargaining agreement, saying it cannot even be discussed until later on in the year. He added that when they get to that point, they will have to see.

James was said to have all the leverage being the one thing that gave the Lakers "a little hope of a spot in the play-in tournament this year."
