NBA player LeBron James posted a tweet of his reaction to Champion League Liverpool breaking a 130-year-old record.

James posted a photo of him on Twitter with a caption "mood" with a mention on LFC's Twitter handle.

Liverpool sealed their position in Paris for the Champions League final later this month with a comeback at the home of Spanish outfit Villareal, according to a Mirror News report.

The game also places the current Liverpool players in the club's history books, with 139 surpassing the previous tally of most goals scored by the team in a single season. It dates back to its creation in 1892.

Liverpool will play either Manchester City or Real Madrid in Paris on May 28 with Jurgen Klopp['s half-time team talk and the introduction of Luis Diaz that tuned the game on its head, according to The Guardian News report.

Liverpool Vs. Villareal Champion League

Liverpool dominated the second half as compared to Villareal snatching the first half.

Fabinho, Diaz, and Sadio Mane scored their goals. The team scored through Boulaye Dia and Francis Coquelin, with the team being seventh in La Liga, with little experience of these kinds of games, according to another The Guardian News report.

Mane scored the third after Naby Keita had wafted a ball through for him. Meanwhile, Diaz had shot narrowly past the far post just before his goal.

Pau Torres was also booked for a naughty tackle on Mane while Etienne Capoue saw red late on for a second poor challenge.

Liverpool had trailed for a total of 69 minutes in matches since the turn of the year. The team had also kept 17 clean sheet in 28 games.

Klopp told his players that they had to play smarter in the second half, using the ball on the half-turn and mixing it up.

Villareal had marked one-on-one before the break and Liverpool had been too static.

James is a part-owner of Liverpool and has shared the team's win on Twitter.

The NBA player tweeted "Paris here we come" while mentioning the team's Twitter handle, according to a Sports Illustrated News report.

James has owned a two percent stake in Liver pool since 2011. He is more than aware of the title drought the Reds just put an end to, with Liverpool now having won 19 domestic league titles overall.

It is Liverpool's first in the Premier League era, which started in 1992-93, according to Bleacher Report.

Meanwhile, the Lakers star will be hoping to bring a title to his own NBA team when the NBA season continues in late July.

Los Angeles Lakers' title drought is a bit shorter than the one Liverpool just ended, with the last championship coming in the 2009-19 campaign.

In 2020, the Los Angeles Lakers became champions again after bagging their league-tying 17th title through a 106-93 thrashing of the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals, according to a Burn Sports report.

In 2010, the Lakers won the championship when it was then led by Kobe Bryant.
