Perez Hilton and Lady Gaga Feud: Blogger Speaks Out Against Artpop Singer on Twitter, Calls Her a 'Monster'
Once upon a time, Perez Hilton and Lady Gaga were good friends, but there was no happily ever after for these two.
The popstar and the entertainment blogger have feuded on Twitter, and Lady Gaga even accused him of essentially stalking her.
At the time, the singer said, "Perez Hilton stay away from me (and) my family. You are sick, trying to rent an apartment in my building to stalk me. Leave me alone! I have confirmation from the building he was there."
Hilton opened up to Howard Stern and explained his side of the story, Yahoo News noted.
"She had this album called 'The Fame Monster,'" he said. "She kind of became a victim of that (and) became a monster herself."
One time when he interviewed her and asked her about the controversy surrounding her song "Judas" and her love life, the singer stormed out of the interview. Hilton said he couldn't believe that someone he was friends with would treat him this way.
Hilton still recognizes her talent, but he said that he feels the singer used him to become more popular.
"She's clearly talented, clearly ambitious, clearly fame hungry and clearly smart, but I feel used," he said. "I feel like the whole time she was pretending to be my friend and befriending me so I would write positive things about her."
Before their falling out in August, it was obvious that Hilton couldn't be impartial about Gaga. He would even call her his "wifey," and she was one of the celebrities he would consistently cover. This is why he called her and tried to smooth over any misunderstandings. He explained that he would never set her up because she was his friend.
"'I would never f*cking set you up. I'm only here to put you in a positive light -- you're my friend," he told her.
"I'm Cuban. I'm loyal," he said. "I don't have many friends -- I thought she was a friend and a real one."
