California: 13 Homes Engulfed by Flames of Coastal Fire; Evacuations Issued
At least 13 homes in Southern California were caught in the flames of the vegetation fire, dubbed Coastal Fire on Wednesday, amid the blaze's continued growth.
According to ABC 7, more than a dozen homes overlooking the ocean in Laguna Niguel were affected by the tragedy, as the fast-moving blaze is spreading rapidly.
Fox News noted that the homes affected by the Coastal Fire were worth millions. The outlet further noted that the massive flames of the wildfire can be seen from miles away along the coast.
ABC News noted that strong winds blew embers into the attics of homes making it challenging for firefighters to extinguish the flames of Coastal Fire. Fires were reportedly jumping from house to house within the neighborhood.

Earlier in the day, NBC Los Angeles showed aerial footage of the fire, trying to cross the trail near an overlooking home. The massive flame prompted a cloud of dark smoke to cover the skies.

Coastal Fire in Southern California
Reports claimed that the Coastal Fire broke out near Aliso Wood Canyon between Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach. The time when the fire erupted was not clear nor mentioned by the authorities.The cause of the fire was also not clear.
However, KNBC noted that around 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Coastal Fire has charred around 150 acres of land, per KCRA.

The information was confirmed by the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) on their Twitter account.
As of Wednesday evening, the said fire is at zero percent containment. OCFA noted that at least 60 types of resources were in the area to battle and contain the Coastal Fire.
Reports noted that Helicopters have also made water drops in an attempt to extinguish the blaze of the Coastal Fire.

Orange County Sheriff's Department (OCSD) posted a photo of fire trucks facing the blaze and a cloud of smoke.
Water Dropping aircraft were also reported to be present at Aliso Woods Canyon, as the Coastal Fire tore through thick brush and burned uphill towards Aliso Summit Trail and the neighboring homes.
Fire Crews have also dropped fire retardant lines around the perimeter of the Coastal Fire to help slow the spread of its blaze. In addition, crews in fixed-wing aircraft have also been helping to extinguish the blaze of the Coastal Fire.
California: Evacuations Ordered Over Coastal Fire
Evacuations among residents near the site of the Coastal Fire were issued on Wednesday.
A mandatory evacuation order was issued for Coronado Point Drive, vista Court, and Via Las Rosas in the city of Laguna Niguel. Meanwhile, a voluntary evacuation warning was issued for the Balboa Nyes (Portafina) neighborhood.
The OCSD also asked the residents of pacific Island Drive and Coronado Pointe to evacuate. Laguna Beach Unified School District claimed that students participating in after-school activities in Laguna Beach were evacuated from school campuses.
The care and reception center location is currently the Crown Valley Community Center.

No injuries were reported the aftermath of Coastal Fire in Southern California.
