SNAP Benefits 2022 Update: New Mexico Payments for May Confirmed
Emergency SNAP benefits in New Mexico have been extended for another month, with residents set to receive the benefit in the maximum amount of their household size in May.
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, or SNAP benefits, help provide nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget to families who need it most.
KRQE News reported that maximum benefits distributed during the pandemic will expire 30 days after the end of the Public Health Emergency, which is expected to be around July 15.
Meanwhile, eligible households for SNAP will continue to receive their pre-pandemic level benefits based on their qualifications.
