A new satisfaction rating for U.S. President Joe Biden has been released by Gallup showing that an overwhelming majority are dissatisfied with the country's direction.

Breitbart News reported that the poll showed that 83 percent of Americans are dissatisfied with how things are going across the nation, with only 16 percent are satisfied and one percent having no opinion.

The new Gallup poll showed a six percent decrease in satisfaction with the country's direction from the Gallup poll done in April.

It was the lowest satisfaction since the January 6 Capitol riot over one year ago.

Gallup noted in its survey that the public's mood "is sour" with less than six months to go before the midterm elections.

Gallup added that few Americans are satisfied with the country's direction and approval of Congress, which makes the Democratic congressional majority extremely vulnerable.

The analytics company further said that the likelihood of a dramatic economic turnaround before November's congressional election appears slim, which places pressure on Democrats to convince voters to elect them again.

U.S. President Joe Biden Approval Rating

Reuters-Ipsos poll released on Wednesday showed that the president's approval rating fell to 36 percent, which is the lowest level of his presidency.

The national poll also found that 59 percent of Americans disapprove of Biden's job performance, while his overall approval was down six percentage points from 42 percent last week.

Since August, Biden's approval rating has been below 50 percent, which has caused alarm that his Democratic Party is on track to lose control of at least one chamber of Congress in the coming midterm election.

Americans mainly blame the Biden administration and the war in Ukraine for the U.S.'s high inflation, which as of last month sits near a 41-year-high of 8.5 percent.

Forty percent of Americans think Biden's policies are "very responsible" for the country's high inflation.

Meanwhile, 61 percent believe Biden is at least "somewhat responsible" for inflation.

The Congressional Budget Office noted that the nation's deficit will total $1 trillion in 2022 and nearly $16 trillion over subsequent decades under the current economic policy.

U.S. Midterm Elections 2022

Biden has lashed out at Russian President Vladimir Putin during his recent visit to a family in rural Illinois.

Biden blamed Putin for destabilizing global food supplies as well as driving up the cost of groceries at home, according to The Guardian report.

The president noted that the United States is currently fighting on two fronts, saying that it is at home where there is inflation and rising prices.

Biden said that the U.S. is also helping Ukrainians defend their democracy and feeding those who are left hungry around the world because "Russian atrocities exist."

Gas prices have increased to record highs as many families try to afford the basic necessities like food and rent.

Economists are now warning of a possible recession. On top of that, a shortage of baby formula has left parents in one of the world's wealthiest countries.
