It's one thing to want to improve oneself, and another thing entirely to actually make that happen. For high school leavers who intend to climb the corporate ladder or to further their studies, achieving their GEDs is one of the most common methods in furthering themselves academically, or in the workplace.

Without prior preparation, it can be difficult to obtain one's GED, which is why organizations like Onsego are in place to help candidates prepare for the test with their prep courses.

There are four subjects that a candidate must take in order to qualify for a GED diploma. The subjects are Social Studies, Language, Science, and Math. GED which stands for General Education Development is a benchmark assessment tool that ensures that the diploma holder has the necessary skills and knowledge. As such, it isn't a memorization test but rather, one that tests the candidate's ability to reason.

Onsego offers GED candidates the opportunity to learn at their own pace while still staying on track. One representative explains that, "There are so many promising minds that weren't given the opportunity to finish their education due to financial constraints or family issues. However, high school offers students the ability to focus solely on their studies, which is concluded at their graduation. For GED candidates, many of them already have a job or two and their environment is not conducive to studying, which is why Onsego acts as a driving force to keep them accountable and motivate them as well as give them information that is easily digestible."

The company encourages GED candidates to study for an hour a day in preparation for their GEDs, which will help them achieve their GEDs in just two months.

Onsego also provides practice tests on top of their course materials so that candidates are able to familiarize themselves with the testing process.

According to some of their GED candidates, Onsego was, "easy to navigate and so effective." Another happy GED holder said, "When I first started studying I didn't even know how to begin or what I needed to study. I've checked out quite a few GED prep websites which either seemed too confusing and disorganized or too expensive. I like that Onsego focuses on only the basic things you actually need to know everything is quick and straight to the point. I also love that it keeps track of my progress with every subject, it keeps me motivated to see how close I am to finishing."

As mentioned earlier, the platform doesn't just offer materials and call it a day. They have a support system as well as a progress report to show candidates just how far they've come and how close they are to their goals, effectively motivating them to persevere.
