Computer Animation Shows What Inside of 980-Pound Man Looks Like
SciencePorn tweeted a picture of what the site described as an X-ray of a 980-pound man.
Really, the image is a computer animation that shows what the inside of a 980-pound man looks like. This is based off of Keith Martin's body, reported Buzzfeed. The image has received more than 10,000 favorites and more than 13,000 retweets on the social media site.
Commenters have expressed all different sorts of opinions. One user said that the picture wasn't realistic enough.
@SciencePorn its gross, thats fine...but its not realistic. bones should be more bent and a bit wider, showing osteoporosis and arthritis.

Others talked about the size of the skeleton in comparison with the rest of the body.
@SciencePorn I always knew "big boned" people didn't exist — Cristian Garza (@cjg1900) June 24, 2014
Keith Martin is the subject of a show called "70 Stone & Almost Dead," which tracked his weight loss efforts. His goal was to stand up for the first time in two years. Martin had a BMI of 155, and he was told that he would only live two years unless he made a change.
A 2012 Daily Mail article explained that Martin cost taxpayers about £50,000 a year. Martin said that he was similar to others, such as smokers or injured rock climbers, who received help.
In a day, he was visited by seven caretakers, who washed and changed him. There were two more nurses who tended to his bed sores.
Martin has been unable to work for more than a decade.
"It's either that or I would end up dead," he said. "Until people have liked like it, they can't judge."
Martin was active as a boy, but when his mother died, things changed, he said.
"I let myself go," he said. "It wasn't comfort eating, I just didn't care. I got so bloated on sausages, bacon and roast dinners. I just ate whatever I felt like."
